If you have sold a house before

Any tips on being patient?

We are only on day 4 on the market and I'm already contemplating when to lower the price.

  • Lol, good luck with finding that patience. I have no tips on it, obviously since I'm DYING to flipping close!

  • Are you in a position where you have to sell? How long can you afford to sit on the market? Are you working w/a realtor? We've been lucky in that 1) We never HAD to sell and 2) We always sold in a sellers market. We were pretty much the sellers to hate. No, we won't come down on our price and we'll close when it's convenient for us. lol

  • No tips. Just wanted to say good luck! Last year, we put ours on the market for maybe 4 months or so and took it off when we only had 2 showings and only one offer which would have had US bringing an extra 30 grand to the table. We'll try again in a few years. You're in a much better area than we are though.

  • Ditto on the good luck but no tips. It gives me a pit in my stomach to think of trying to sell ours in order to go back north. I am NOT a patient person.
