My hero of the day is my husband. His ridiculous job requires him to work two 16 hour shifts a week, in addition to 3 regular 8 hour shifts. For the second week in a row, he has worked them Thursday/Friday so we can have until 3pm together on Sat. and Sunday as a family. Not only is he doing this crazy schedule, but he has been working so hard on trying to have a positive attitude about it. He's one amazing guy...I love him to pieces.
Who is your hero today?

Re: who's your hero today?
I gotta go with my hubby. Although, not my definition of a hero, but he's being a stand up hubby. He's doing everything around here, taking care of DD and me, and is doing everything without batting an eyelash. He's always been really good around here with me, but a lot of times I have to give lists or I deal with him not being very empathetic, so he'll help me when I'm hurt, but he doesn't understand how I'm feeling. I expressed this with him before I scheduled my surgery and he's been awesome. Understanding when I'm hurting and positive when I need a little of that energy. As much as I thrive on being in the thick of things, I'm enjoying watching him and DD do things. He's getting to enjoy the simple pleasures with her like having her help fold laundry
Also, he's been serving my lunch and dinners with a couple of Hershey kisses on the side, whats not to love about that
Plus, he made bread yesterday and he's making apple crisp right now !
That is so sweet! It really is the little things that count in life!
LOL! I love it, Brianne!
I'm going with DH as my hero today. He just finished giving DD a bath and brushing her teeth after she threw up on herself and the sofa. She's been sick with a cough for the last couple of days but the puking thing was unexpected. I was on the phone with my mom in another room when it happened and DH didn't even ask me for help, although of course I stepped in to put the sofa cushion covers in the wash as soon as I found out what happened.
I know as her parent, DH is and should be perfectly capable of handling things like these on his own, but it still warms my heart that he isn't one of those guys who hands off every situation to his wife.
Oh my gosh! I just laughed so loud that the baby is laughing too!!!! This is fantastic!

My hero today is Ms. Jackie L! I received a very adorable gift (homemade Halloween treat bag!!) in the mail that just made my day. It reminded me how simple gestures are truly amazing and can lift a rainy day mood.
And it made Abby smile from ear to ear!
Thanks, Jackie!
Oh goodness, me?! I'm glad you got it and that you and Abby like it. I mailed it yesterday afternoon...can't believe you already have it!
Love it!
