let's talk about brunch food
a few posts ago i mentioned i am throwing a baby shower next month.
we are doing a brunch with the main foods being bacon and a make your own waffle bar with toppings. of course mimosa and coffee too. this is only for about a dozen people.
beyond that i have like a zillion ideas for food but i am not feeding an army. i am thinking fruit salad too. but help me keep this simple.
what would you want to eat?
Re: let's talk about brunch food
Adding fruit sounds good. I like the idea of adding something egg-based like a quiche or egg bake of some sort. To me, bacon isn't a super filling protein (unless you eat 10 strips) and I'm not a huge fan of waffles because it makes me feel like I go on a sugar high and then crash (But that's just me. I know most people love waffles). So, I think having an egg-based dish will give an option for non-waffle lovers who also want some protein. The benefit to some of the egg casseroles is that you can make them the night before and then in the morning all you have to do is pop it in the oven.
You don't have the "unch" half of the meal
. That's just breakfast.
So, I'd do something lunchy like little sandwiches. Even just store bought chicken salad on mini croissants from Costco.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
