I found a rarely used Demo model of a Huskylock on Craigslist on Thursday. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow! It's a Husky look 1002 LCD, around 15 years old, and only $150. All the accessories and a manual too. I'm over the moon excited.
French seams are not hard, but the serger is the last piece of capital investment into my sewing room for a while.
And another Brother Pacesetter XL703 is at the sewing machine shop with a 75/25 chance of resurrection!! I loved the one I killed so much I found another.
I don't know what I'd do with a new machine that just worked out of the box. ;-)

L'isle Sur la Sorgue, Provence
Aside from the 4 hour drive to get it, it's mine and it works beautifully and the people I bought it from were incredibly nice. I also found an estate sale kind of fabric shop that has fabric for $1-2 a yard. I set my budget at $40 and came out with lots and $8 left.
Ready to crash now. We made the most of our trip to the city so I am wiped out!
