So last week I posted about the new Dr and the bloodwork she sent me for. I got my results yesterday and they showed elevated glucose, insulin and testosterone levels; which are all markers for PCOS. So it's pretty certain that I have it, but she wants to transfer my care to an RE since they specialize in it. I'm glad to be getting some sort of answers....I just wish they didn't involve an RE! My first appt is 10/31, so I will be very anxiously awaiting it!
Thanks to all of you for your support!

Re: TTC Update
I'm so happy you're finally getting answers, even if they aren't best news. I think going to an RE will really help get even more answers and some specialized help. And no matter what, you do not give up hope! There are lots of girls on the TTGP board on the bump who have PCOS and get pregnant and have healthy children.
Let us know how your appointment goes on Halloween!
Having some answers is great, even if it includes some obstacles. But you have a plan now, and going to someone who specializes in this will give you the best chance for success. Good luck and let us know how your appointment goes!
Couldn't have said it any better myself. Chin up!
I know when I first realized I had to go to an RE it was tough because I had to accept that I needed help to get pregnant, but it turned out to be the best decision ever. It was so good to work with someone who knew exactly what they were doing and I know REs have a ton of experience with PCOS patients. It can be intimidating , especially when you're getting started, but it is absolutely the best thing for you to do.Just take the process one step at a time and do everything your doctor says. It turned out okay for me

They were going to send me to Hershey, but I decided to see the Dr my cousin used (the one with the successful IVF) at Reading Hospital. He specializes in PCOS, so I feel like I'm making the right decision!
Thanks everyone for the support!!

I replied to your post on the TTGP Board but I just wanted to say again how happy I am that you are getting answers & your new GYN has pointed you in the right direction. Good luck & I'm praying that the 31st gets here quickly for you.
