Modern Family (spoilers)

This show continues to be funny despite its success. I keep waiting for it to kind of dry up and not be funny anymore, since that's usually what happens when a show gets successful. Not happening with this one though and I am very happy.

I was dying when Phil listed the powerful women he most admires! And then knocking out his son. And, OMG, when Mitchell tackled that guy! LOL

See, I didn't find this episode to be all that funny. I usually LOL and have to rewind because I miss stuff but I think I only snickered once tonight and I can't even remember at what.

I also didn't find tonight as hilarious, though I did LOL at Phil describing the women he admired. That was funny.

Sometimes Mitch and Cam really annoy me. It's not that they aren't funny, I just get tired of them sometimes.

This wasn't their best episode but it was still great. I loved Mitchell tackling that guy and then being so proud of his grass stains later.

This, exactly. I didn't find any of it to be that funny except for this part. Oh and the part where Gloria said something like, "Why won't anyone let me help them? I have all the answers."

I still enjoyed watching it though.

I did think this one was pretty corny. I don't always like the ones where everyone's storylines cross and tie into a nice bow at the end.

I am less than impressed with this season so far. It seems like they are trying too hard and all of their characters are over the top. Phil is horribly annoying this season (although less so in last night's episode).

I agree, it wasn't the funniest, but a not-as-funny episode of Modern Family is still better than a lot of what's out there.

I think the kids on the show are hysterical. And Claire running into the town council guy again was pretty awesome.

I always love this show - even the 'less funny' episodes are still awesome.

I liked Claire's plot line the most last night. I always really like Ed O'Neil--he's just SO spot on.

I think Ed O'Niel is the ONLY character that has never had a bad episode. He is always fantastic.

No one laughed at Cam telling that father of two he shouldn't have brought his kids to such a violent movie and they ended up being in the wrong theater? I thought it was hilarious that they ended up in telling some guy off for bringing his kids to the muppetts movie!

I really liked this episode and LOLed quite a few times. I think this is the only show that literally makes me LOL. Although I loved Gloria in this one, I can see her accent getting a bit over the top.

I thought all the Muppets drop-ins were because Manny is in the movie and that got sorta annoying, but not enough to ruin the episode.

I didnt even notice an excess of Muppets comments.

I died when Phil punched the son.

and the grass stains! and when Cam sat on the kid with the fake IDs.

my H watched it at 9pm and then again at midnight with me when I got home and he was still laughing.

Yes

I also loved Cam chasing after the hit 'n' run car. I rewound to watch that scene again because it cracked me up so much. Then when he sat on the fake IDs kid.

It wasn't my *favorite* episode, but it was still pretty damn funny to me.

I agree that sometimes certain characters seem over the top, but I actually felt like most of them were watered down in that episode. LOL'ed big time at the very end though, when Ed O'Neil was like, "Same. Exact. Closet" after letting Gloria "help" him :P

Yes I really think Gloria is my favorite character. She cracks me up all the time.

I did find this episode a bit predictable, but still entertaining.

I only just got this line now when reading the post...I must be losing it.

I love the show and think its very funny, always. Although I don't like the new Lily so much. The show is still great though.
