So he is signing and swearing on Wednesday! Crazy huh? He decided to go with the Army (active duty) since there were a lot more jobs available.
Although I am extremely frusturated with his recruiter who is brand new and doesn't know much about anything. He keeps giving us the run around and wont answer any questions besides having a lot of information about the shopping on base. Uggg. Anyways H is pretty excited, and so am I about joining.
Oh and he scored pretty high on his ASVAB test. Woohoo!
Re: Update on H and military
I know it's got my be beyond frustrating, but this part made me lol a little bit. At least you'll be all se there. Haha!
I am glad you guys are excited. Congrats to both of you. :-)
Missing our little turkey.

That's great! Does this in any way qualify him for better assignments or positions?
Yes and no. He has a GED so he was very limited. For everyone with a high school diploma you must score 30 or higher to pass. Since he has a GED he had to score 50 or higher to pass which he did with flying colors. His score opened up every job available in army to him BUT he does not really get any bonuses what soever (at least that is what recruiter is telling us) for signing up since he does have a GED. He also has college credits but they said that does not count.
That just seems silly, especially since he has some college coursework under his belt. He obviously didn't get his GED just for fun if he went on to do some college work. I think though if he is willing to work hard he'll go places in the army, GED or not!
