Wish I could craft for a living...

Sigh...some days, like today, I wish I got paid to make crafts instead of the job that I actually have.  But then I remember how grateful I am to have the job I have because it pays for my (craft) habit.

Re: Wish I could craft for a living...

  • Nope, totally with you there.

I'm grateful to have a job in this market, but I sit here all day thinking about the crafting I could be doing at home.

  • Yep, I'm right there with you. Especially since I do nothing all day, most days.  My job is sort of like a waste of my time...I'd quit it on the spot if it didn't pay so nicely. Sad
  • I hear you!  I haven't been too busy at my job lately, so instead I look at my Ravelry queue and pine...

  • I could have written this post myself.  Sigh. But then I wonder if crafting was my 'job', would I still look forward to it?

  • I agree... But it would be nice to actually have some time to craft.
  • I work my job so I can afford to craft!  I dream of some day being able to quit teaching and spend my time quilting.  I was chastised by a co-worker for not being willing to spend all my evenings working on schoolwork.  Ummm.... teaching is my job, not my life.  Non-crafters just don't get it.

  • I always feel this way but my Aunt who makes amazing stuff said she hated doing craft fairs because then she was forced to craft as opposed to doing it for fun like she normally did.  She did 2 craft fairs and said never again.  So now I benefit from the awesome gifts she does and the things she teaches me.
  • Wow you sound just like me.  I have been remodeling my office/craft room in my head while we are slow at work.  Someday I hope to do this full time.  Until then just dreaming....
