The Thing (no spoilers)

Generally a remake of a remake is bound to fail hard, but "The Thing" was surprisingly decent. It has been a while since I have actually found a new horror movie to actually be suspenseful and a little scary. I liked it more than the 80's version, my FI liked them about the same. It is not a prequel as some people thought, it is definitely a remake- but there are enough significant differences to keep it suspenseful.

It's worth watching once, and if you're looking for a horror movie to see in the theatre this Halloween, "The Thing" is probably a lot better than Paranormal Activity 3 will be. Stick around during the credits.

Or, go see Ghostbusters if it is coming back to your local theater (Oct 20 and 27)! :)

Re: The Thing (no spoilers)

  • Thanks! From the preview, it looked almost like an exact remake. I am so frustrated with remakes lately, but I guess if they re-do a good movie as opposed to coming up with awful new movies, then it's worth it.
  • Ok I thought that it was suppose to be a prequel but its a remake?? I LOVED the original one so I will definitely go see itSmile
