Sunday vent

Over the past few years, my family has gotten really bad at planning things in advance. My aunt called me on Thursday night to let me know that my cousin's birthday party is at 1:00 today. I couldn't think of an excuse fast enough, so I said I'd be there. Not only does it bother me that it was such short notice, but I also hate having places to go on Sunday. I have laundry to do, the lawn needs to be mowed, and the Patriots play at 4:15, so I have no desire to drive to my aunt and uncle's house a half hour away. Ugh. I wish they would give more notice about this stuff and maybe plan parties for Saturday rather than Sunday.

Re: Sunday vent

  • I hate doing things on Sundays!!  Parties are the worst!  Like you mentioned my Sundays are for food shopping, relaxing, laundry, making food for the week, and football!!  My MIL always wants to do Sunday dinners with BIL/SIL and I hate them because we eat at like 5:30 and then have to come home give the girls baths, do laundry, etc.  So then she suggests we do them at my house, and thats just as bad cause then I am left cooking and cleaning up!
  • Sounds to me like you are always "busy" on Sundays. No excuse required. :). Sorry they are such poor planners!
