Storing Laptops in Living Room

Okay does anyone have a solution to storing laptops in the living room?  Right now I have a tv tray set up and I hate it!  I want something so I can easily access it, but I don't know what to use.

Re: Storing Laptops in Living Room

  • We have a basket at one end of our couch that we put our laptops in when we are not using them.

  • We slide them under the couch so the kids won't play with them and the cats can't mess with them.  The cords are pretty well hidden under the couch as well.

  • We are currently looking at end tables that have a shelf or drawer to store them in.

This.  Our couch is about 2 inches off the ground so it's the perfect laptop hiding place.  Plus, the only outlets are behind the couch so we just run the cords between the cushions.

  • I have a basket that slides under our open end table. They fit in there with all the cords perfectly.
  • Our coffee table has slide out baskets we can hide them in if necessary.
  • I have this which I got from Target a number of years ago and I love it. Looks good maintains the laptop and all the cords.

  • hi!

i keep my laptop plugged in on a shelf of the tv stand.  if i want to surf the web for a few minutes while FI is watching tv or something, i just unplug it and plop on the couch.  if i'm going to be doing something that takes more time, i take it into the office.  there's a dock and monitor on my desk, so it's more comfortable for days that i need to work from home/etc.

  • We have this coffee table from ikea with a little basket we slide in the middle on the bottom shelf I got from HomeGoods that we store remotes and laptop power cords in, then the laptops on either side...mind you we don't have kids or pets, but it works well for us.

This is what we do too :)
