non -tangible birthday gift ideas
It's hard to believe we're starting to plan Abby's second birthday.
I know, two....
What are some good gift ideas that are not in the toy category?
At our mini Smiling Hill Farm GTG, some great suggestions of:
Gymnastic class
music class
swim lessons
Peekaboo pass
Children's museum pass
What are some others? I'm trying to avoid the influx of toys that this girl clearly doesn't need. I'm following one of Ridley's second birthday gifts of a trunk filled with dress up/pretend play items. It's costing my around $10 since I've been collecting yard sale/free finds all year!
What else???
Re: non -tangible birthday gift ideas
non-tangible gift that Abby can give us is a new big girl siggy pic and maybe a ticker that I don't have to do math to figure out that she is 2
I have no ideas for her.
This. LOL How bout Music Together class? Taylor loves going (although we aren't signing up for winter semester) and she is really starting to pick up on singing right now.
Thanks girls - yes, another pic is due, huh? the nest is having issues and I'm getting error messages. So, here's a pic from June:
and one from a couple weeks ago :-)
TWO?!!
If you still need items for your dress up box I got some great Halloween costumes on super clearance last year to make a dress up box for Eli. He actually picked one of this year's Halloween costumes from it too.
Eli got a Children's Museum pass for Christmas that is good at all Children's Museums and we have gotten a lot of use out of it in Portland, Dover and Boston. Hoping to get to North Conway before it expires too. I would definitely recommend it for kids 2 and older.
Oh my gosh, she is so beautiful! Love the new pictures!
And I really like supplies as a gift too. They're not intangible but they're not toys - they facilitate an experience - and as a kid I loved nothing more than coloring. Oh wait, I still love coloring, lol.
The combined reciprocal pass is what my mom was telling me about that I was talking about... Boston Science Museum is included on this one too:

Yup that's the one we have. It's been great!
We are doing this as a family Christmas gift this year:
