Re: How was your weekend?

    • Highs? I made *some* progress in getting my living/dining room together. Dinner at Famous Dave's Saturday night was delicious. Larriland on Sunday morning was beautiful.
    • Lows? I still have a LONG way to go on the living/dining room. DS was cranky at Larriland and an absolute basketcase the whole rest of the day and last night.
    • Eat/make anything good? Famous Dave's was yummy. We also had apple fritters and apple cider at Larriland.
    • Watch anything good? More catching up on Mad Men.
    • How did you enjoy the gorgeous weather? Larriland was our outdoor activity.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? The possibility of sleep? Getting more done around the house since we have no plans this week or weekend.
    • Any comments, FFCs, vents, boasts, etc? I am disappointed that DS was cranky at Larriland. A big group of us go ever year and I was *really* looking forward to it this year to bring Caelan and it was fun, but it would have been better if DS had been well fed and well rested before we got there (I tried to arrange that but it didn't work out).
    • On the plus side, the weather this weekend was GORGEOUS!! I wish it was always like this!!

    • Highs? We went to the Laurel Racetrack on Saturday afternoon - they had a big kids area w/ free pony rides, petting zoo and moonbounce - pretty much toddler heaven.  We got to be outside, DH and I each had a drink and DD had a great time - good day all around!
    • Lows? DD fell off the jungle gym yesterday.  From ~ 6 feet up.  She landed on her bottom and then banged her arm.  It was a little scary, but OK.  I'm glad it happened w/ me and not DH b/c he would have freaked out and probably have taken her to the emergency room.
    • Eat/make anything good? Made dinner on teh new stove for the first time - pretty exciting!
    • Watch anything good? No
    • How did you enjoy the gorgeous weather? Race track Saturday and then playground yesterday
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Short week - I'm off Friday b/c DD's school is closed.  We're supposed to go to Kiddie Crusoe that should be fun
    • Any comments, FFCs, vents, boasts, etc? DH's doctor left him a message that he needed to lose a "significant" amount of weight.  Which he does, but it was a slightly unkind way to do it.  DH has been packing lunches and breakfasts and they have been a good mix of foods and trying to walk during his lunch break.  I was trying to help too and meal plan for the week, but I kinda half-assed it at the store yesterday, even though I look at recipes almost every day.

  • Highs? Having a quiet Saturday and then attending a Pregnancy Loss Awareness Benefit Dinner...i won a few items so that was great! Lows? DH working all weekend Eat/make anything good? Not really Watch anything good? Not really How did you enjoy the gorgeous weather? Opened up the doors to let some fresh air in, but nothing really
What are you looking forward to this week? Komen walk on Sunday, and hopefully nice weather Saturday to do something fun Any comments, FFCs, vents, boasts, etc? DD is 24+hrs bottle free, i'm so proud of her for sticking it out with me.  Also, she amazes me each day with what she learns.  Her vocab is crazy and she's just awesome.
  • Highs? Spending the day with DH yesterday and enjoying the weather.

Lows? This was my first two day weekend and I had really enjoyed my three/four day weekends.

Eat/make anything good? Blue Cheese Guacamole and black bean empanadas washed down with a Dark & Stormy. Happy Hour + Rum sale + $20 gift card = very nice dinner at Paladar.

Watch anything good? X Factor and RHoNJ reunion. Excited for Terra Nova tonight.

How did you enjoy the gorgeous weather? DH and I grabbed breakfast at Caribou Coffee and sat outside. It was beautiful out! Then we went with my sister and her kids to mini golf and the driving range.

What are you looking forward to this week? Nothing specific.

Any comments, FFCs, vents, boasts, etc? My sister mentioned in passing my parents might be coming up in two weeks. Then back up for Thanksgiving. No mention of these plans to us. Last time they gave us two days notice. They always stay with us because we have an extra bedroom and my sister doesn't. There's no hotel that's convenient and we feel bad telling them no but this is ridiculous! Mom was up in May, they were both up for most of July, and one week in September. They moved to rural SC to retire but they are up here every couple of months. We've told them to move back but Dad is being stubborn and doesn't want to take a loss on the house they had built. I understand that but what's more practical? Being in MD with your kids and grandkids or being miserable and spending thousands of dollars traveling back and forth. They've said they hate it down there so it's just stubborness stopping them. Financially, they can afford to lose some money on the house. It's so frustrating.

    • What are you looking forward to this week?Actually getting some work done. I have had so many events the last few weeks, I haven't gotten any work done.

    • Highs?Celebrating our 6th Anniversary. Dh bought me some new baking sheets and a very nice pair of earrings.
    • Lows?We went to the Woodberry Kitchen, but got there so late that they were not taking any more walkins. We tried to amek reservations 4 days in advance, but no luck. Other low, I fell while carrying DD. I landed on my knees and elbow and my hand (which was holding her head) was 2 inches from the concrete.

    • Any comments, FFCs, vents, boasts, etc? DD is starting to pull herself up and cruise around the coffee table. She can sort of crawl, but is not really too interested in that - she'd rather walk.
