My mom called me today to tell me that a drunk driver almost hit their
house last night. She woke up at 3 to someone ringing the doorbell.
There was a car in the bushes right in front of their house. They
couldn't tell if anyone was in the car, but it was still running. So
they called the police.
Once the police got there, they realized
the driver was still in the car. The girl had no idea what was going on
and couldn't answer any personal questions. She finally admitted she was
really drunk and they took her away. They left the car until this
morning. She missed the house by about 6 inches. Thankfully the only
damage was to the bushes.
My mom doesn't understand how the while
DWI process works, and was up the rest of the night worrying they were
going to release her and let her come back to get her car. She got some
sleep during the day, but still seemed nervous this afternoon.
Re: my poor mother
Guess t sounded like a good idea at the time?
I'm glad no one was hurt! I'm amazed by stupid people.
I'm assuming that's what happened. My mom said it was still there at 6 when she checked but not at 11.
