Re: RE nesties

  • It is not public knowledge but your realtor should have the information from the MLS.

  • On har, you can see recently sold listings but it gives you a price range , not the exact selling price.  I think only a realtor can see the exact price.
  • Try typing the address into Google. I've Googled peoples addresses and have gotten their full names, how much the house has previously sold for, how many times it's sold as well as past owners and how much it last sold for.

It actually should be public record. Is listed under deeds or conveyances in many newspapers.

  • Are you working with a Realtor?  If not, then you should!   I would never make an offer on a house without a Realtor.   We have a great Nestie Realtor if you need one, she helped us tremendously in our search, even though we wound up buying new, she still really helped us!

I agree - using a realtor is super important. I used BPaullo both times and she was so awesome! We bought new and then in 2 yrs had to sell it bc we were moving to a new city. She was able to get comps of the area to know that we were buying at a great price! She even got it sold for a HUGE profit to us even just after 2 yrs! She's amazing. I can't say enough about her. she even kind of helped me out after with the home up here after I wasn't technically her client anymore. My realtor up here wasn't much help after we bought the house ~ Good Luck!!

oh, we are working with a realtor.  i was just impatient and trying to find out the info myself while we were waiting to hear back  :)  he's gotten back to me now though, so i'm good.

unfortunately we aren't moving locally, otherwise i totally would have tried to use bpaullo!  after reading so many rave reviews about her on here, that would have been a no-brainer.  thanks for your responses!
