good morning! hope everyone had a good weekend!
mine was good, friday, i ran some errands, did house work, then h and i "celebrated" his promotion by going out to black angus (lame, i know....but i needed some steak). then he and his cousin and a friend went to a haunted house while i waited in the car! my "excuse" is pregnancy, but really, i hate them anyways ![]()
saturday h went to canada and i worked a little bit and baked some cookies. i timed it right to have the cookies ready just a little bit before they got home, so they come home to house smelling like cookies!
yesterday was more house chores while h worked on the baby room....it's starting to look like we might be expecting something soon! ![]()
hope your week is great!
Re: happy monday morning!
Good Morning. My weekend was great, but busy!!
Friday wasn't to bad I just ran around doing a few errands, cleaned house.. pretty much got ready for my brother's to show up.
Saturday, I spent the morning sewing a tablecloth for my mom for her birthday(my brother's took it with them). Then in the afternoon I relaxed for a while, and then baked cinnamon rolls, and made Salsa. We had 6 friends over at night after dinner and had a game night, tons of fun playing Things.
Sunday, church, relaxing and hanging out with my brothers.
So it was a great weekend!

Good morning. We had so much to do around the house this weekend and really, nothing got done. I'm frustrated with DH that he says he's going to do things and then he doesn't.
Saturday was good. We went to the symphony for the SciFi movie music concert. It was great and then we walked around Seattle. Sunday, we went to Costco and grocery shopping but that's about it.
I don't want to be at work this week, but I have classes today and tomorrow that I have to teach.
Good Morning. Jennlin, where are some cookies for ME?
Actually, I'm back on Weight Watchers starting this morning. BOOO! But, it's good, too, especially this time of year. I really need to keep track of what's going into my body.
Tman was almost late for school today because I forgot to put his gym socks and shoes in his backpack and we had to go back home. I rushed and sped and somehow got him to school on time. We live quite a distance from his school, so it was lucky that I thought to look only a few minutes after we left the house. It was still really chaotic and I hope that it doesn't give him a bad start to the day.
Our weekend was good, low key. I'm freezing!
Our anniversary is next weekend and Tman is going to my moms. I'm looking forward to some time where James and I can just talk and be alone, but I always miss my kiddo so much.
OH, on Saturday, I got a total score at Toys R Us on some Kung Zu stuff that Tman really wanted for Christmas. I got over $75 worth of stuff for just over $18 because of sales and clearance combinations. I think they are kind of weird, but he's into karate and he said he wants them, and at such a good price, I couldn't deny. So, now I'm actually probably 1/3 of the way done with his Christmas shopping! That will be a big check mark off the list!

weight watchers, shmate watchers. cookies are zero points when they are made with love. come to lynnwood, and you can have all the cookies you want. i'll even make more, if you'd like! i found white chocolate chips deep in my pantry AFTER i finished, so i was disappointed i only had "regular" chocolate chips in my cookies.

Good morning! I'm actually in a pretty good mood today (I'm not naturally a morning person). We had 3 really ripe bananas left over from when I made banana bread last week, so I made one more loaf last night. I hate our smoke detector at home. H and I were heating up one of the Costco dinners before I baked the bread and the damn thing kept going off which made all the other ones in the house go off. We can't make ANYTHING in the oven without it going haywire - drives me nuts!! I've asked H multiple times to replace them to ones not as sensitive, but he doesn't seem to be very interested in doing so but it stresses me out!
Anyhoo, apparently a lot of people at my office like Banana Chocolate Chip Walnut bread because it's almost gone.
Hoping to get a ton of stuff done at work though, so I may not be around much today.
Happy Monday!

Good Morning! I had a great extended weekend, and was pleasantly surprised to find things relatively in order at work after 1 1/2+ days out sick at the end of last week.
I spent most of Thursday and Friday sick and passed out on the livingroom couch, but I was able to feel a lot better for Saturday's Husky game! It was a great game to attend, and I can't wait for the next home game, which is also Homecoming!
I know four people whose birthdays are this week (including DH), and none of them are having B-Day parties. It must be a sign that I'm getting old

Happy morning!
Sounds like it's been a good weekend for everybody; that's awesome!
Things here were also good, and about typically busy, haha.
Friday night, we had some friends over for Chinese food and board games; they ended up staying until about 12.30am, lol, but we had a blast. DH and I hit the liquor store beforehand and cleared them out of their Whaler's Vanilla rum (it's fantastic, and the liquor stores are going to stop carrying it! boo!) so I can have some after the baby's here, haha.
Saturday morning, we went over to a friend's place for D&D (I told you we were geeks!
), which was a ton of fun. We got home around dinnertime and then started working on an online puzzle-solving event -- or, well, DH did most of that and I mainly worked on starting baby announcements, so all I have to do once the baby's here is put in the finalized details (name, date, time, etc) and photos. I'm not quite done, but I'm decently happy with what I have so far.
Sunday was sleeping in, pancakes, and then more puzzles to solve.
And then video games after dinner!
:X We tend to pack things pretty full, time-wise!
Good morning! Wow...I haven't posted in one of these threads in ages! I'm having tech issues, and Tech Support is taking their merry old time calling me back to help me out...so I'm not really able to work right now. I think it's a firewall issue, so I would go somewhere else to work...but then I won't be able to take the call from Tech Support, and then the issue will never be fixed. It's a vicious cycle.
Anyways...our weekend was pretty good! There's a new bar/restaurant pretty close to our house and we tried it out on Friday for happy hour. It was packed, which makes me happy! I really hope that this place does good business and sticks around. It's nice to have a "local" place to be able to go for a quick drink or a snack.
Saturday, we went to Craven Farm in Snohomish. We got a bunch of pumpkins, some corn stalks for decorating, and some fresh apples and sweet corn. We also went out to Flower World in Maltby and got tulip bulbs to plant.
Yesterday, we had a lazy early afternoon (we all fell asleep on the couch watching football), and then we spent time cleaning and doing laundry.

Happy MOnday!!!
Work is cooling off a little bit. It feels nice to have a moment to breathe and not work a million hours a day.
My weekend was too short, as always, but I got some good quality and much needed time with H so that was awesome.
I also got to meet up with one of my fav people yesterday so that was fun.
Hope Monday is good to you!
avila, what's the name of the new bar? h and i love trying new hh's!

Morning! Weekend was fun. Friends were over on Friday. I saw my friend who is 7 months pregnant. Haven't seen her in a while, so it was nice to catch up.
Saturday DH and I went to Bob's corn farm for their corn maze. A lot of fun and it only took us about an hour and a half to get through! My boss' wife said we should do it every year. I'm ok with that.
Yesterday we didn't do anything. DH made some spaghetti with chicken and it was delicious! A bit too spicy though.
I don't work this week. Yay vacation! I have a doctor's appointment and then I'm going over to my friend's house for dinner.
Have a great day!
my currently-reading shelf:
Good afternoon (by the time I'm posting now). Had a pretty good and productive weekend. Made my hubby take me to dinner on Friday as I was disappointed the GTG was canceled then we went and got fabric for his lederhosn.
Saturday I was a little slow going, plunked around organizing some things in the kitchen. My sister came over to see the new house with my crazy nephews in tow. We were originally going to take them to the Family Fun Center in Redmond to celebrate the younger's birthday, but for some reason she had taken them to the zoo that morning...and they happily spent an hour playing in our giant pile of leaves in the yard so we ended up going to the park near us and save the FFC for a rainy day later in the season. We then went to Ikea to get the cute shoe bench for our entry in the kitchen. DH went to the Sounders game and I put the bench together.
Sunday I went to the hardware store to get various things I needed. Cut out the pieces and did some side seam sewing on the lederhosn. Then went and met my sister for dinner at Lot 3 in Bellevue. Felt like a moron since they initial impetus for getting together was so I could bring her the boys' coats they forgot at our house...and I completely forgot them. They're going to NC at the end of the week so now I'm going to have to traipse up to Redmond before Friday to bring them their coats.
This week is planned to be finishing sewing the costumes, getting the house cleaned up and organized enough it doesn't look like boxland (just don't look in the garage) for our party on Saturday...that I'm looking less forward to. It will be our first party in our new house and the attendance is looking mighty slim so far and I'm afraid that will set bad precedence for our party history in the new place! 15 people at the apartment could still look like a nice-sized party. 15 people in our house will look like we're losers
blurg being back at work after no being here for over 2 weeks.
we got back from our honeymoon friday night...
saturday I went through the presents and made sure I didn't miss any (I wrote all of our thank you notes on the honeymoon). then mailed all of the thank you notes. also did all of our catch up laundry, attempted to start cleaning the house, and then DH helped his brother move his remaining stuff out of our house (so happy about that!!!).
sunday we mostly rested (moving around on crutches is a freakin pain in the ass). but we did go to ikea to get a desk for my new office (DH's brother's old room) and bookcases for him. I got to ride in the motorized wheelchair cart
. and then did some grocery shopping.
