Good morning?
Brr, it is chilly. I think I'll be turning on the furnace today, as it's not supposed to go over 13?C (55?F) all week.
We had a pretty good weekend. We drove 2.5 hours north to hang out with our friends this weekend. 2 of our friends are getting married in the spring, so they had this party for both sets of their friends to sort of get to know each other. Derek may have had a bit too much to drink, and didn't feel all that awesome yesterday. I guess that's one of the major perks of not drinking, you feel awesome the next day!
I really have no idea what's on the go for this week. I need to clean the kitchen, but when is that ever not on the to-do list?
How is everyone today?
Re: Happy Monday!
Good morning!
Today is V's first day at his new job so I'm hoping it goes well! He left the house looking pretty dapper at least, that's a good start right?
This means it's also my first day alone with Darian in a long time so it's time for me to start looking up activities and play groups I can join.
Oh... And I maaaay have picked up that lobster costume this weekend... it was on sale!

We're actually having a gorgeous fall so far, so no complaints on the weather here. Sunny and mild over the weekend and we went for a walk around the park yesterday after swimming at the gym. We also bought some herbs to make a little herb garden for the kitchen, and now I have to use lots of basil, parsley and coriander to make it worth it!
Busy day at work so far, and I'm finally taking a minute to breath while I eat my lunch. Hope the rest of the day goes by fast too - this pesky headache I've had for days just seems to be lingering and I would love to just go home and curl up on the couch. And the cleaner was in today, so we'll even have a clean apartment!

So cute. A pic will definitely be required!
And good luck to V.

Happy Monday! We had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday we drove out to LBI for my cousin's wedding. My aunt and uncle are super rich, and the wedding cost well over 100k. That being said, I was not very impressed. I think most of the $ went towards the 3000+ square foot bridal suite. It was insane-more than twice the size of my house.
This afternoon I have my first U/S. Not looking forward to walking around with a full bladder, but it will be worth it.
Have a great day ladies!
Morning ladies.
I had a great weekend. My reunion was a riot. The place we went to had a mechanical bull, however I chose not to ride it. Some of my old classmates did so it was quite entertaining. I did end up having to leave a little early as my monthly migraine decided to show. (I always get a bad one right before AF starts).
Yesterday DH got up a little after noon, (he worked Saturday night), and we played with the boys most of the afternoon. Overall it was a great weekend.
I have a funeral to attend tomorrow as well as a dentist appt. That's about it.
Have a great day ladies.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
I agree.
Good morning, this weekend was quiet exhausting. Saturday I had my practice FE exam which is 8 hours long. This exam will allow me to seek my professional license as an engineer so it is a pretty big deal for me. Overall I did pretty decent but I do have some areas I need to work on but I have two more weeks to study until I take the real one so that's always good.
Other than that nothing much happened on the weekend. Have a great day ladies!
Ringy- Good luck to V! I can't wait to see darian in his costume to cute.
Rayne799- Good luck at your appt today please let us know how the ultrasound goes.
This weekend turned out to be a great weekend. We took the Jordan, his friend Caleb, and Preston to the pumpkin patch and had a blast. The boys enjoyed it so much and they had a petting zoo Preston loved.
I have my annual gyno appt today. I have been having some major problems so I scheduled it even though its a month early. I am praying he puts me on some BC that won't mess me up anymore and can tell me what the heck is going on with my crazy body.
Good luck on your exam in a few weeks Dora. A few of our friends have done it. Around here, it doesn't do much for their careers unfortunately. I think it's all about years of experience instead. Hopefully it does better things for you.
Rayne* Keep us posted on your u/s today. Good luck! Don't pee yourself. My u/s tech thought it was a good idea to bounce on my belly to try and get LO to move around for her. Really?
Today was Jackson's first day at daycare, rather than being with a friend of ours. It was much harder to leave him today. So far, they've sent me an update saying he's already snoring away after chowing down a bottle.
It's absolutely freezing in my office today, almost to the point of needing gloves at my desk. Ridiculous! Hopefully it's sunny enough the next couple days to help heat the house. I love our big windows for this reason.
Good morning, ladies.
Darian lobster! Too cute - we will definitely require pics.
Monday, monday. I don't want to be here, but it's getting busy again. ugh. At least I have leftover 13 bean soup with sausage that was completely delicious yesterday, and will probably be better today. With cornbread.
Have a great day, everyone!
PS - are we doing a Secret Santa???
Good morning, all! Just getting some work done before it's time for the new writer to show up. Once her orientation is over, we're taking her to lunch, then beginning her on training for her daily tasks. So it should be a busy day, but not much will get done in terms of work-work for me.
Tonight will be quiet--Josh will be late thanks to a conference, and I should hit the gym. But I downloaded the first episode of The Walking Dead this morning, and I might watch that instead. Though I'll have to turn on all the lights and position myself strategically just in case a hidden zombie bursts out of a closet while I'm watching.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Ooooo, good call. Elfster sent me an e-mail a little while ago, I'll make a post!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Morning everyone!
Ringy -- good luck to V and I can't wait to see pics of Darien.
Rayne - good luck at the u/s.
Les - I can't believe the holidays are getting closer and its time to start thinking about secret santa again. My vote is for doing it.
Our weekend was pretty good. I worked most of the day on Saturday but did get to catch up with an old friend in the evening. Yesterday, we did brunch with some friends, cleaned up the house, and watched the Bears game.
Today should be a pretty relaxed day. I'm working from home while waiting for a contractor to stop by and put the finishing touches on the bathrooms. Just some minor punchlist items and then I'll be posting pics.
Hope everyone has a good day!
Thank you! Yeah here in Texas companies want to hire people who passed the FE, in other words an EIT.
Morning ladies. We had a decent weekend. The market on Saturday was a little bit cool, but I got some shopping done and am excited for that. After the market I had wine night with a friend which got switched to spiked cider night because of the weather. We had a blast. Yesterday I got quite a bit of cleaning done and then spent several hours glued to the TV following the IndyCar disaster. My family and I are all huge IndyCar fans and were devastated at the loss of such a talented driver. After pulling myself together I decided to follow through with our existing plans to go out and watch the Sunday night football game. That was quite enjoyable as we got to hang out with some friends that we hadn't seen in months.
This week looks like it should be pretty busy. There are several big projects at work right now. I also have plans for lunch several days this week and projects planned for the evenings after I get home.
Good morning! I had to go to the dentist this morning and Rex went to the vet for his glucose follow up. It was normal today, so it must have just been jacked up from being all barfy before.
Today I am taking a few minutes to rejoice in the fact that the weekend event is over and then I'm jumping right into these grant applications.

Morning ladies!
We didn't do a ton this weekend and it was nice. Just the usual errands and laundry. I made some pretty fantastic dinners, so we have good leftovers this week.
I'm less than thrilled about today - it's bosses day and my husbands co-workers have decided to kidnap him and take him out drinking all day. Fabulous. They really don't understand why I would think a Friday would be a bit more appropriate if they *really* feel they need to do this. I've made it very clear if they bring him home completely trashed - one of them is staying to baby sit him.
Morning ladies. Boo Monday. We had a really busy weekend but the highlight was the concert on Saturday. It was epic and one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
LO decided to wake up and play at 5 am and then wouldn't go back to sleep. Consequently I am sleepy even though I downed my coffee already. Tonight I'm going to WW and then to Target to pick up a few things. DH has class so dinner will be low key. Hope everyone has a great day!
Evening!
I had an amazing weekend and today was alright too. I got home and did some laundry and made beef and cheddar soup and candied apples for dessert. Now I am relaxing while the soup finishes up. Tonight will be nice and low-key...I have a nasty cough, so running is out for today....we'll see how tomorrow goes.

Today was a pretty shiitty day for me.
I woke up at 5am to go for a run and it was pretty disasterous. I started having some pain in my left side that I will describe as 'twingy'. So far I've been blessed to have no spotting or cramping or anything other than maybe on RLP. I really wasn't sure what this was and wasn't comfortable running through it, so I ended up run-walking 2.5 miles to get back home. I'm disappointed that I didn't get to get my run it, but I know it's best that I not ignore pains. I'm just not sure what it was since it didn't feel like the RLP I get on my right. And no spotting or anything.
We stayed up last night to watch the season premiere of The Walking Dead so I was exhausted this morning. Literally, head bobbing on the way to work which I know is horrible.
Once I got to work, things weren't any better. I was at the small hospital (I am all week) and it was too busy and overwhelming and I almost locked myself in the bathroom to cry.
Hoping tomorrow goes better.
