The Walking Dead 10/16
Thought it was a great first episode! Picked up nicely from the end of last season, but also did a good job introducing new themes / plot points for the rest. Included great zombie-smashing (this show definitely earned that make-up Emmy), and that "OMG" moment at the end. Sucks for the little kid. 
What is this 'talking dead' thing that they kept advertising (think it came on after the encore showing at midnight...)?

Only a few scenes bothered me and only because of terrible CGI (The drive on the deserted highway in the opening sequence and the deer scene at the end.)
And I think the little kid will make it, I wasn't as blown away by it as I was with season one, but it was good
i thought it was pretty good. we we'ren't expecting the ending. i was just waiting for a walker to come out and grab the kid.
the redneck bow hunter guy has turned out to be a good asset, even though i hated him last year. i wonder when his brother is going to turn up.
i hope this season is as good as the first. the fact that it's entirely new writers makes me wonder though. the preview for teh season looked okay, but didn't blow me away.

I tried to get online to watch the webisodes right after the episode and couldn't get it to load.
I really enjoyed it until there was a commercial every 10 minutes! I wasn't blown away with the second half, but the first was gripping.
I'm interested to know where Merle is and what the scientist said Rick...I think those are the only 2 cliffhangers from last season.
The previews for the rest of the season look pretty good. It looks like there may be some government/CDC people still alive which is interesting to me. I want more answers about the infection.
I didn't watch the Talking Dead because I can't stand Chris Hardwick.

I am so happy it's back. I was yelling at the tv during a lot of it though, since the kids should never have been allowed to wander around. They should have been in the rv where it was safe. Drove me nuts. I thought they should know better.
I'm freaking out about Carl now. I hope he can be saved.
