Also back! (from Houston & Rio)
A week in Houston, followed by two weeks in Rio. I checked in Jetur's post, and it sounds like we didn't miss anything too exciting, but I just wanted to say Hi as well!
I'm back for two weeks before I head back to Houston and South America en route to Antarctica.
Re: Also back! (from Houston & Rio)
Wow! Antarctica! Are you doing a cruise like the one you tried to win?
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
The trip to Antarctica is my first big post-split solo vacation. It's now the only continent I haven't been to, and this is my last year with a work-sponsored travel allowance, so I'm making the most of it.
The trip to Rio was for work, because our testing team is based there. I kind of thought I'd hate it because they work fixed very-early hours due to security issues, and our health & safety stuff is off the charts for how dangerous the city is. In the end, it wasn't that bad, especially since I was hanging around with a colleague I had met in Houston who agreed to show me around. It was definitely more fun hanging around with a local.
