Good Morning, MN.

What's going on today?

I had a dream last night that I was fired because I told one of the office administrators to go f*ck herself because she called my sister fat.  Premonition maybe?  My sister doesn't work with me but rumor from a reliable source says there are still 6 names on the list for the chopping block.  My department is the only one that hasn't been touched yet...I know we're not untouchable so I think today is the day we see someone go.  If it's me, I'm going to eat the four remaining cupcakes from my mom's birthday party.

Re: Good Morning, MN.

  • Sorry work is stressing you out.  I've been cleaning like a mad woman for the past few days after ending up in labor and delivery with stupid false labor twice last week.  I feel like an idiot for not knowing it wasn't the real deal.

  • I'm feeling stressed, tired, and anxious. Work is about to get ca-razy again and I've been battling borderline nausea again. Not enough to be sick but enough to make me feel "off". Still battling with the party planner that I sometimes freelance through for my money from 2 events I worked at in June. 'Bout ready to take them to small claims since it has been 120 days by the end of the week.

I'm getting awarded my 5 year service pin today during chapel at work; which is nice but I'm dreading having to sit in there for an hour when I'm not feeling my best.

L is getting fitted for her brace today, the MRI from last week came back clear so we're able to move forward with treating her scoliosis.

  • I'm sorry about the work situation SMW. Ugh.

I just got to work [like, 45 minutes late] - not feeling all that hot, but I'll suck it up since today will be super busy. I really just want to go home and cuddle up with a book and some tea, but oh well. I really need to order DS' birthday invitations today...

  • H starts training tomorrow so I'm going with him to run errands....pick up uniform from dry cleaners, get hair cut, pick up other uniform from tailor, buy RAT danners, go to commissary, go to PX....etc.

Then we're having dinner with another couple (and he is starting training with H tomorrow too).

    Fun fun.

Then I'll have some peace and quiet to get things organized. We got an awesome new shelving unit that I get to fill with stuff and H found my Halloween decorations!

  • I'm sorry about your work situation SgtMW.

I'm working today, was suppose to have bought something for bosses day and totally forgot until right this minute. There is no way that I'm going to be able to do it this morning and Dr is out of the office this afternoon. I'm thinking we are going to be a day late on this. Ugh. Oh well.  We are on extreme baby watch this week for my coworker's DIL, her due date was 10 days ago and nothing has happened yet. The minute we get the call D has to leave to go run DIL's daycare until the daycare parents can get there. This is becoming super stressful for me.

Tonight I'll finish laundry and clean the kitchen. I have some meat to package and need to finish my meal plan for the week along with prepping some crockpot dinners, with all the veggies I bought from the farmer's market.

Fingers crossed about your work situation, SgtMW!

I stayed up way too late last night, and am really dragging this morning.  I'm off work because H has a surgical procedure he can't drive himself home from, and I also scheduled a meeting with one of my professors to go over plans for a presentation I'm giving next week.  I should be spending the next couple of hours finishing this week's reading for her class, but am online instead.

  • Work as usual. My house has been super quiet with Joe on swings, but I'm productive when he's not around, so it's not so bad. I need to buckle down and start cooking myself real meals even when I'll be eating alone. Popcorn, yogurt and almonds aren't going to cut it much longer. I've decided I'm going to train Wilson to help Joe duck hunt, so that'll also be a productive use of time while I've got the house to myself during the week.

  • I hauled all of our screens out of the shed and put them in our windows so I can finally turn off the AC and get some fresh air in here. The motivation I needed came the other day in the form of our electricity bill - I was in NY for two weeks last month and turned the AC off during the day since A wasn't home, and it nearly cut our bill in half. I'm hoping I can leave it off most of the time now.

I need a few more things for Halloween and I may go get those after I feed my kid lunch.

Your ticker is screwy. It says your avocado is smaller than the raspberry and olive.

Haha! She's right!  You probably put 2011 in for the year instead of 2012.

I knew something was screwy; but I couldn't put my finger on it. I've had a headache since I woke up this morning and apparently it's messing with me more than I thought.

  • Is it just me, or is $200 waaaayyyyy too much money to spend on a birthday party?!? L has been wanting a party at Chuck E. Cheese since forever but I just can't get over that price tag - and that covers just 15 kids, not including cake and ice cream, and no food and/or beverages for adults. I know K would shiit a brick if I booked a party there at that price.

Is that just admission?  If so that's ridiculous.  I had one big party when I was a kid and that was when I was 10...we had it at the Discovery Zone which was like a giant play place.

It covers 2 slices of pizza per kid, tokens (I think like 30), and drinks, plus tablecloth and party hats. That's just for the kids, for adults, I'd have to pay additional for more food and/or beverages, plus still need to get a cake. And kids can zip through 30 tokens in no time at all. The play zone, IMO, sucks. I don't know what happened to CEC - but I remember some realllllly impressive play zones from when I was a kid. These ones around here are just lame.

  • Today was a long-ish day, I drove halfway to school only to check my email at a red light and discover my morning class was canceled, this is the 4th time this semester! It's starting to get annoying. So then I studied all morning for a Bio test that I think I bombed, had a quiz as soon as we got to Bio Lab, then did an exhausting lab on genetics, so my brain is just about fried.

Then H and I went grocery shopping, which normally is fine when we go together but he likes to just grab and go and I like to have a list because we're both only home for dinners and we rarely seem to have anything for dinner! lol I think next time I'm either making a list or going alone.

After dinner, we were catching up on DVR and hubs fell asleep super early. I don't blame him, he's up at 3:15 am and home at 5:00 pm and is in the sun all day long working with recruits, but sometimes I get a little bummed that I get to see him for an hour before he knocks out.
