Good morning, Monday!

Re: Good morning, Monday!

  • Weekend was very good, and busy. Hung out with an old college friend Friday night which was fun. We ran last minute errands for my bachelorette. Then Saturday was my bachelorette. Had a GREAT time! It could have only been better if I wasn't sick but oh well. Sunday was a lazy day. Made waffles in the morning for me and my MOH who spent the night. Then went grocery shopping and apple picking and made an apple crisp.

Today was supposed to be my first day at my new job, so I got all ready and went there. Sat in an office for 30 minutes only to be told they decided it would be best if I started after the wedding. Bummer... On a positive note it will give me loads of time to finish everything for the wedding. Yay!

How was your weekend Lady E?

  • Good morning!

Got my hair cut and colored Saturday. Took DD to a pumpkin patch Sunday.

And we did a big push of unpacking this weekend, because they're installing our security system this week. They needed to actually reach the windows, lol!

  • Glad you had a good time at your bachelorette party, mfmenchi! Too bad you were sick though.

Our weekend was busy, and I am exhausted. Saturday, we ran some errands on the south shore, had lunch at the Fat Cat, and hit the mall. Yesterday, I ran around all afternoon, and then we had to drive out to western MA for my grandfather's birthday dinner. Which was really awkward, because we got stuck at the end of the table with family that I don't really talk to, and I barely got to say a word to my grandfather (who was at the other end). We ducked out right after cake, because we had to drive back home. Got home a little before 10, took the dog out, and poured myself a giant glass of wine.  I took a couple of hours off this morning so I could sleep in a bit, but I didn't.  Thankfully, we have nothing going on this coming weekend, so I can catch up on the 87 things I didn't get to this weekend.

  • mfm, I'm glad you enjoyed your bachelorette party! I barely remember mine... Haha

My weekend was good, it just flew by. Saturday we went to my cousin's DD's 1st birthday party. Yesterday we checked out some open houses then watched football. It was actually relatively low-key for us.

  • Good morning everyone!

My weekend was good. It went by so fast. Saturday I spent with MIL running around getting all the supplies do to the invitations for SIL's bridal shower. We pretty much drove all over the state. Then H and I went to dinner with our neighbors. Yesterday MIL and I kicked out the shower invitations start to finish. It took us most of the day but they turned out great! Then H and I spent last night watching a little football.

  • Our weekend was good! We went to go see DH's cousin and his kids - one of whom is our godson. We haven't seen them since the summer and they've grown so much...and they're talking so much more. They'll be 3 in January. We had fun just hanging out and playing with them but we also took them to a pumpkin patch for a couple hours on Sunday.

I can't believe they did this!  Do they know you quit your other job early to start when they asked you to?  Hopefully the free time will take away some of that wedding stress.

Yeah, that is really really sh!tty. I don't know how I missed this the first time I read your post. I think I was just too busy wondering how you didn't mention being hung over after your bachelorette party haha
  • Very good, very busy. Had the bachette/shower this weekend. Everything went off without a hitch except cuchi cuchi screwed up our reservations and then we were kept waiting for an hour.

I am tired and a little worn out, and came home with an ear infection (already saw doc this am) and am going to spend the next 4 days doing all the laundry and clean up that DH neglected to do while he was home all weekend (he said DS was impossible all weekend).

I agree. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise though. You'll have more time to get all the little things done.
My weekend was nice, but it went by too quick. DH & I took the dogs down the cape for the weekend. They had no interest in swimming, but we did see a seal!
Yesterday, was a football/lounging around day. Sure wish I had the day off today.

Oh that sucks, Punky. I had one a few weeks ago, and I was miserable. I hope it clears up quickly.

Today is turning out to be one of those terrible, horrible no good Alexander* kind of days. I totally fell in the middle of the street at lunch and skinned my knee and both palms. So now I'm walking around like a 90 year old woman.  And then some woman got p*ssy with me because I pointed out that she'd cut the line in Peets.  Cow.

    * People still know what that is right?

  • OMG 5000 I can't believe you fell down!!!

    Oh no! That sucks!

I always tell H that I've had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day whenever I'm in a bad mood.

I hope you feel better! I'm glad the party went well, you must be glad it's over.
  • Me either! I'm a klutz, but I don't remember the last time I took a spill like that.  They're repaving the street, and the whole thing is torn up and under construction, so I must have misjudged the height of the curb when I stepped off. Or something. All I know is one minute I was upright and putting on my sunglasses, and the next, I was on the ground.

And, of course, it was right in front of a group of about 30 kids on a school trip, plus all of the people wandering around at lunch. Sigh.

  • mfmenchi- I can't believe they did that either.  That is so sh!tty of them.

500 Candles- totally something I would do.  I hope you are ok.

My weekend was nice.  DH surprised me and came home.  It was great to see him and it gets harder and harder for me to say good-bye at the end of the weekend.  I am having a really blue weekend and Monday.  I hope I can snap out of it soon.

  • We went to the farm Saturday with friends and their baby, and then had lunch at our place.  Sunday we spent the day just hanging out and catching up on housework.

5000 Candles that is totally something I would do.  I am so clumsy.

It was really shitty for sure. Even shittier that I got hope that wedding stuff would get done and then they called me late Monday afternoon and said I would be starting, and to come in Tuesday morning. And Lady E, I was surprised myself I wasn't hungover the next day. Didn't get to bed until 2:30, had a crazy coughing fit at 3:40 and then woke up at 6:30 and cleaned. I felt absolutely fine! That hasn't happened in awhile when I've gotten drunk. Not that I'm complaining mind you, but I had 3 glasses of sangria (one of which my friends spiked with a nip of vodka), and two rum and cokes, then another glass of wine after.

  • I can not believe you were up cleaning at 6:30 am after your bachelorette party. You must have superpowers.
