Gross thought..but still curious
I am feeling sick at work today. I have a migraine which led to me getting sick in the bathroom while 2 students were in the stalls next to me. Just a bit awkward. Due to my migraines, I have gotten sick in many places. It made me wonder what everyone else's most awkward place to get sick is?
I have thrown up on many people's lawns, in many fast food joints, on a restaurant table (in 4th grade), alongside the turnpike, in the tub while laying in it, and many more. What about you? Any good stories?

I got sick during my 1st trimester at Costco. I couldn't deal with cooking because of the smells so I thought I would get my husband a pre cooked chicken for dinner. Bad idea! I put it in my cart and had to run towards the bathroom. Too bad the bathroom was really far! I didn't make it. So embarrassing!
I hope you feel better!
Eww have you been to the dr. for your migraine issues?? I'm so sorry that must be so tough. Are you a teacher? I hope your issue gets better soon!
The only time I remember getting sick in a public place was one time when I was about 8 years old I threw up outside friendly's. I also remember my mom telling me I threw up at Mcdonald's right on the table when I was 2. That's about it. Nothing that I can remember now. Thank god. I haven't gotten sick in like 6 years ::knock on wood:: hopefully I don't jinx myself now.
I threw up in band class my freshman year of high school. The teach was talking and it just hit me. I up-chucked all over the floor. So embarrassing!
When I was changing bc I was super nauseous and threw up both at work, it freaked the little boys I nannied out. And had to pullover on the freeway. No fun at all!
I threw up on a drive home from Disneyland once, on the side of the freeway...
The drive from the Bay Area to Anaheim is like 6 hours away. I was the driver for the weekend trip (we had borrowed a friend's mom's car, and I was the only one authorized to drive, as I was one of two people with a license, and the oldest one on the trip) and I was queasy alllll the way through the grapevine, and somewhere just past that point and before endless cow-land, I pulled the car over, flung the door open, and let it go, narrowly missing traffic.
That wasn't so much fun, actually. haha
Yes, I have been seeing a neurologist for 27 years. I was diagnosed when I was 7 years old. I am on a daily preventative and take a prescription when I get one as well. I taught middle school for 8 years and now am a professor of education. They are not fun...and unfortunately I will always have them.
I threw up in the middle of my 5th grade math class. It was horrifying.
Vomiting at the bar isn't exactly classy either, but I did it once. Ugh. Never again. Luckily I made it to the bathroom.

Trin--This sounds like a great story. Sounds like good ol college days.
And did they use the horrible smelling powdery stuff in school to sprinkle on top of it that made you want to throw up even more?
I puked into a garbage can of the New York City subway station. Doesn't sound super bad because it's a garbage can after all, but I was wearing a black short dress, high heels and it was only 9pm. When I was done a homeless dude gave me a dirty look and said he wanted to go through that garbage and I should have puked on the tracks.

They totally did. The gross part was that I threw up on my math book, and they put the powdery stuff all over it after they cleaned it off. I had to use it for the rest of the year. Bleck.

I love this question... hahah reading the responses has got me dying laughing picturing all these scenarios.. then again I'm not shy nor grossed out by getting sick... so I have a few good ones/places I have gotten sick.
I tend to have what one may call a "nervous stomach" I get sick when I get anxious, or nervous. I used to be a performer (cheerleading, dance and music), and I would always throw up just before performing at recitals, big games and competitions. I have thrown up just minutes before singing the national anthem at a minor league baseball game, before our basketball team took the floor for a National Championship Game and before performing the nutcracker ballet. Also I threw up at school the morning of SAT's and the morning of my wedding. :-) thank god it was just at the hair salon and not at the alter. I also got sick driving my car once, right in my own lap/on the steering wheel-- I had the flu and was trying to get home from work. Oh.. and at the circus when I was little. I have gotten sick at the gym once, on the weight floor when my trainer was pushing me too hard. and the list goes on.... hehe
