Looking at the BOB Revolution Stollers - PSA

REI has a 20% off coupon for members (membership is $20 if you dont have one, and good for a lifetime) the 20% is good on the BOB strollers as well!  I just picked one up from REI at Willowbrook Originally $449 took almost $90 off... Paid $388 for it with tax and so forth.  (I am now a happy camper! Who knew a stroller could bring such pleasure!)

 WHOOP!

Coupon ends Sunday!

  • There's currently a recall on BOB strollers. I was notified of it this week so I think it's new. Might want to look it up before buying.

    From an e-mail I received:

The products are being recalled as the stroller canopy's embroidered logo's backing patch can detach, posing a choking hazard to babies and young children.

Sorry, this is a lame recall. I wouldn't not buy a BOB because of it. It's like when the Bumbos were recalled because there wasn't a warning label that you shouldn't leave your child unattended in a Bumbo on the kitchen counter. Common sense people, common sense (not you in particular, just people in general).

  • Yeah, I know "not me in particular". I didn't look into it, I was just passing along the warning. I never used a stroller.

If you're an eBates user, you can save even more, too. We used the same discount on our double.

And I agree that the recall is lame. Even lamer than the last one about the string.

Ha! This just gave me nightmares of walking 4 miles while my 4 year old and 2 year old walk with me. I'd still be walking that same walk. LOL

  • We just brought one from REI today... the one they have (SE anyway) doesn't have the embroidered bit on them (they have the recall notice at the desk).... and the westheimer one still has them in stock for anyone interested.

  • I think if I had more than one, I might have used them. I just think it's easier to carry. I wore her everywhere.

I agree.  Unless your kid weighs the same as an average 3 year old at age 1.  :-)
