I could kill right now

Back in December when Wyatt was born, we jumped through all of the hoops to get him up on our insurance plan. We submitted the application to whomever it is in the company (I can't remember her name or position) that deals with all that, and she told us everything was perfect, and Wyatt had been successfully added. Great.

Fast forward to now, I have been lucky enough to not need any extra insurance, so today I call to make sure that we'll be covered in the States and guess what? Wyatt isn't covered!! Whoever it was that was handling our application didn't do her job, and now it is going to take 5 business days to get him added and I can't get a hold of the number the lady gave me to call... meaning we'll be down there with Wyatt not being covered by insurance (not for long, but I'm still really upset about it).

Thank God I called! Hopefully I can get a hold of them or I don't know what I'm going to do.

  • That is not cool at all and I would be irate, just as you are.  That is a major MAJOR thing for someone to drop the ball on.  Are they offering any apology or some sort of compensation for the oversight?

  • I'm not sure :( I managed to get a hold of them, and since I'm not the employee, I had to call Lance to talk to them... but when he did, he explained the issue and they are going to 'try' to have it processed and done by the end of the day, and if not, by tomorrow afternoon.

    I'll be checking Wednesday morning...

  • I would make sure that he will be covered for the trip, because a lot of insurance plans need to be in place before you come into the other country or they aren't valid.

the woman from the insurance company said that as long as he is listed on the plan, we are good to go for our trip... I'm going to call wednesday morning to make sure she can see him on the plan

  • That is so frustrating. It is a good thing you called! I hope they get it figured out soon.
