No, not like crazy chick last night.
What percentage of my stuff will be broken? ?It's all marked fragile, and this guy is carrying 2 boxes at a time on his back, dropping them on my floor. ?I'm pretty sure I heard rattling. ?One box, the one with my scuba gear and some clothes, has a huge gash through it.
?It's like Christmas here. ?H packed everything after I left, so I'm sure I'll have a few surprises. ?Like apparently 6 pillows are coming my way. ?Maybe he imagined I'd have wild parties of naked pillow fights?
But thank dog. ?This shipment is just in time. ?It has all my winter clothes like gloves and hats and all those things you need when it decides to snow.
Re: step right up, taking bets
Aw, how sweet that YH packed for you! I hate packing like whoa, so I'd love for someone else to do it for me (that is, if s/he was to do it accurately. A dozen or so of the sorority's plates broke when my ex packed them without wrapping them.)
I predict 13% of your shipped belongings will be damaged in some way.
hmm,, from overseas, lets see...
10% will be irreparably damaged
5% will be repairable
1% will be missing altogether.
Wait, don't give him too much credit here. ?I was a little generous when I said he packed. ?I put into one section of the living room all I was taking. ?Then he supervised as the Japanese movers did all the work (since I'd left the week before). ?I just know that he threw some stuff on the pile last minute.
One of the big perks of the military is they pay for movers to pack and ship everything. ?Yes, your taxpayer dollars just paid for a big bundle of paper to get shipped from Misawa to Denver. ?Seriously, we were just unpacking a bundle, and it was all their leftover packing material. ?The Japanese are thorough!?
We did this as well the many times we moved with the Army... and yet...
But I hope you're right
and I hope nothing is damaged beyond repair.
HAHAHA. ?I have a box labeled underwears. ?Hahaha. ?Those Japanese and their Engrish.
BTW, it has bathing suits, 2 belts, a camelback, some backpacks, and 1 bra. ?I'm guessing that H found it in his laundry basket b/c I thought I packed all my "underwears." ?I think I'm easily amused.
