The Sing-Off 10/17
Overall, I thought the second 'bracket' blew the first out of the water. All in all, I was happy with who went home, though. Afro-Blue is still my favorite.

I thought The Collective and Pentatonix were AMAZING last night. Afro Blue was pretty good as well. Everyone else was just Meh.
Also, Nick Lachey is a TERRIBLE host. Dude needs to loosen up and stray from the cue cards every once in awhile.

I still am not really into any of the groups like I was the first two seasons, but I did really like AfroBlue's performance.
I'm loving the judges this season! Sara is SUCH a better judge than Nicole was. And she's kept the sexual innuendos to a minimum.
Afro-Blue and Vocal Point were by far the best last night. I was dissapointed in Delilah's soloist, she sucked...let the girl that sang Grenade solo, she is amazing!
I was dissapointed to see North Shore go. I think overall the Collective has been really weak and saved themselves last night just barely. I just really hate Ruby's voice, she sounds like she smokes 100packs a day and is jittery from coffee or drugs. hahaha Sorry if that offends anyone but I am picky about my singers, being an opera snob.
And Pentatonix was great last night too! I forgot about them.
ALLLLLL of this. i LOATHE the collective, they are terrible every.single.week. gag.
i actually don't love afro blue....i think all of their main singers are weak, and they sound the same every week. plus, they are BORING, minus the soul train line this week.
i live and die for pentatonix....kevin rocks my world.

But I will say that several of the songs I heard were not what I'd call guilty pleasure songs but just really great songs. Is it just me?

I agree. I actually thought the girls had too much vibrato going on, and when Ben Folds was complimenting that I was like WTF?
