B&M Monday

The tour M and I wanted to do in Europe next year went up $700 per person from 2011 to 2012.  It went from being something we could do to something that's a serious stretch. And even if we can pull it off, it's likely we won't get to do some of the fun extras we wanted to do, like Euro Disney and visiting friends in Capri.

I'm seriously disappointed.

Re: B&M Monday

  • -AF came to visit, officially making this cycle a bust. I'm seriously having a hard time with this deployment again, compounded now by the fact that not only is my husband gone and we're not pregnant, but we can't even try again for almost 2 months. I'm just so over it. I want my husband home NOW. I want to get on with our life. I'm so tired of feeling in limbo and like everything is on hold. Ugh.

-The tenants in one of our houses in FL decided to just up and move out, without any notice. The house is on the market for sale, so we won't be renting it out again. Now I'm left to deal with turning back on all the utilities in our name, and of course paying the extra bills. I'm praying the house sells soon.

-T was supposed to help me declutter and go through things when he was home so when the realtor comes to list this house for sale it looks presentable. Of course he didn't do it and we didn't have much time. Now I'm trying to pack things and find places to store them so our packed-to-the-gills house will look like a minimalist residence to appeal to buyers. I'm exhausted from packing and trying to find places to store the boxes without being in the way.

  • My big one: The mirror that has been sitting on my dresser since we moved into our house over 2 years ago (first my old dresser, and then my new dresser for the last 2 months) decided to fall off today. I didn't actually see the falling part (DH did, I just heard it) but it slid down onto the dresser and then continued to slide onto the floor. The mirror broke, thankfully just in one crack (not a million pieces) but in the process it also knocked a glass candle off--which shattered, and put a few scratches/gouges on my 2 month old dresser. They are small and not super noticeable--I was actually worried that it scratched all the way down as it fell, but I am still upset because it is really brand new. I should just not attempt to even buy nice things.

-They are doing a training in the area outside of my office, so I am either trapped in my office for the remainder of the day (3:00) or I need to go somewhere else.

-my team has 4 soccer games this week. YUCK

  • -I took Tylenol Severe Allergy this morning and I've been in a fog ever since.  I swear my blinking is slower, I catch myself sitting here with my mouth hanging open in a daze, and I could probably fall asleep if I had something to lean on right now lol.  Not good since I have to drive an hour and back tonight for a meeting after work.  Night time driving when drowsy?  No bueno.

-I'm supposed to go to a costume party on Saturday night when I'm in Atlanta and I have nothing to wear.  Most people are doing a toga theme...I hate costume parties (I'm so not creative about this lol) and I might skip it, but I don't want to be singled out if I do.

-I have to get my thyroid checked today and I haaaaaaaate needles.  Going to get blood drawn on my lunch break today does not sound like fun.

I think the only free time I have is on Friday.  I'll have all day Friday until around 4pm, but I have to be at the hotel around 12 so when mom's flight comes in, so she can drop her stuff off in my hotel room (she can't check in till after 3).  I'm down there for a ViSalus national conference!  Friday night is open to the public, if you want to join us for the kick off too! :)

  • I have managed to develop seasonal allergies over the last year or so and they are driving me nuts! I hate feeling sick all the time, but the alternative is to feel completely doped up from the allergy medicine. Both of those options suck.

I have to work Friday afternoon/evening, but I could probably meet you that morning if you're up for it! Send me FB mail or something with where you are staying and maybe we can work something out.

  • Saturday my friends wedding out of town and it was our first night together without Kyle since he was born.  It was also the first time in what seems like forever since my college friends and I have gotten together. Well, I ended up with a horrible cold and leaving the reception after dinner was over.  I tried hard all day to suck it up but I felt awful.  It was so disappointing.

  • It's Monday so DH is back at work.  I miss having him at home.

We are still having some latching/BF issues so I'm going to see a lactation consultant this afternoon.  The whole thing stresses me out.  I wish I was one of those people who BFing was just natural for.

    I'm tired.

Globus. It seems like they're up across the board, though. We went to talk to a travel agent this weekend about it all and she didn't seem to know anything about Europe, which really didn't help.

  • I had a rough morning... miscommunication and thought my day was going to be traveling from classroom to classroom and in the end, it wasn't, so last minute juggling, on top of major traffic this morning b/c we had fog... any weather in California causes even more traffic than normal.

I have sooo much packing and stuff to do. Life was not meant to be lived alone... I truly believe that... it's hard maintaining everything by yourself. J used to handle electronics/cable stuff, and I feel a little lost in that... I just feel very, very overwhelmed right now with the move and everything. I can't WAIT for it to be over and to have order again... my house is a MESS and it drives me NUTS.

    Grades are due this week...

On top of that, my boss is FINALLY getting around to observations, during OCTOBER, which is one of the most difficult and rowdy months of the year for hte kiddos... ugh... I'm looking forward to a holiday break!

We used a TA to plan our trip, and she's the one who suggested the tour we took and set everything up for us. If you're interested, I can give you her contact information. The company she works for is out of Indiana (I think). I've used them to plan several trips, we just do it all via e-mail.

  • My B&M is that it's Monday, and I'm exhausted! I woke up after having slept for 9+ hours feeling like I needed to sleep for 12 more. Too many busy weekends in a row = not being well rested for the weekdays!

  • My landlord told me he was going to replace the overhead light/fan today before noon, so I made a point of being gone. I just got home (it's 2:30 now), and he still hasn't come.

I almost fainted while running errands today. I ate a big breakfast, but I think my blood sugar got too low and I barely escaped a puking/passing out episode in barnes and noble. As it was, I got really sweaty, dizzy, and pretty much looked drunk while I staggered out of the store and onto a pseudo-seat (read: edge of a flower pot) in the middle of the mall. Note to self: carry snacks in purse!

That's scary!  When I was pregnant I carried snacks with me at all times. I would get suddenly STARVING at the randomest times.

  • I have a horrible case of the Mondays. I've been cramping so I'm sure af is coming. Work is crazy right now and crazy short staffed. The Colts suck. And my mom told me today that Saturday when she came to check on the house that our shed was open. I flipped out on her about why she didn't tell me before. She let me straight up freak out on her before she says "Babe....it was the wind." Yeah...I feel like an assshole.

  • - I'm going crazy at work. I'm doing something that I'm not trained for and is not part of my job description at all. It can be rewarding/exciting if I know what I'm doing, but if I have no clue what I'm doing, it's so frustrating.

    - It's still kind of dark when I leave for work in the mornings, and that just sucks the energy out of me because it's kind of depressing.

    - I went to bed a bit later than I should have last night, so coupled with the darkness draining my energy, my brain power was not what it should be to do what's expected of me at work,

Yeah, this is the time of year they go up.  We had booked Sept. 30th last year because the Trafalgar rates went up in Oct.

FB message me what you were looking for in a tour/price range. we did SO much research..I can see if we can give you any help!

  • I am a day late... but here goes.

    - Matt will be jobless in 2 weeks. We are going to be strapped big time if he doesn't get a job. Our Disney trip is in a few weeks. Canceling it will cost us money and even though we shouldn't go, I feel like if we cancel it will just send me into a state of depression!

    - I am in a funk and I need to get out of it

    - Mags is starting to get sick...again.
