UPS question
This is a bit off the wall but maybe someone knows.
I have a ton of stuff (between 30 and 40 cases) scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. UPS says it will be here by the end of the day. Do you think they could give me a more specific time if I call them tomorrow? I have an appointment away from home tomorrow but I would hate to not be here when the driver shows up. I don't want to have to cart all of that stuff into the garage or house.

Re: UPS question
You might call them tomorrow and ask, and then they might call the driver. It might work, but it might not. It really depends on the driver and if he answers his phone, the route (does your driver deliver to a lot of nearby businesses, etc.), and how heavy he is that day.
Have you ever had UPS deliver to your house before? Whatever time he generally shows up might be a good indicator.
However, since you do have 30-40 cases, there's a chance he might get there earlier so that he doesn't have to work around those boxes all day--meaning, 30-40 cases might get in the way as he's looking for other deliveries. So when you call UPS tomorrow, you might mention how many packages you're expecting, and since it's a lot, they might be more willing to help you out than if you had like one book from Amazon or something.
Sorry that's not a lot of help! If you were on one of the routes DH has been on, I could estimate about what time the driver would be there because I know what those general day-to-day schedules are. But since I don't know your driver, I would have no way of telling.

Thanks girls, I called them this AM. The woman I spoke with said to expect the packages before 7:00 this evening.
She didn't offer to contact the driver but I didn't go in with high expectations so I wasn't surprised. I honestly have no idea what time the driver usually comes, this stuff is coming ground and I think we usually use the more expensive shipping option. Oh well!
