do you greet your friends w/ compliments?
I was watching RHs last night, and everytime anybody showed up, there was a kiss-kiss hello and then a compliment or multiple compliments about each other's appearance, "your hair looks great" "I love that blouse" "Don't you look gorgeous today"
Is this a RH-thing or is this something other regular women do too?

mmmmm hmmmmm. Well, when you're ready to talk about it, we're here.
I agree, I'm not going to say something just to have a compliment, but if there is something genuine I will say it.
Honestly, it depends on who the person is. If I see the person on a regular basis, most likely I'm not going in for the kiss and complimenting them every time I see them. If it's someone I see a few times every so many months, I may pay a compliment to them along with a kiss depending on the comfort level I'm on with that person.
This is probably flameworthy on this board but shocker, I can't stand the RH franchise. I feel like they are probably doing the aforementioned because they're trying to out-do one another while mentally stabbing the person in the eyes with a sharp knife.

My friends definitely do but I get it more from my family. My aunt acts like the best thing that's ever happened in her life is to see you in this very moment. Big "HELLOOOO!! How ARE YOU!!! LOOK at that necklace! It's BEE-YOU-itful!!!!"
Ever since that article about how to talk to girls went around, I try to follow this up with a question about school or pets or friends or hobbies when I'm greeting my younger cousins but it's hard when that greeting + compliment is so ingrained.
