clicky: wedding ring(s)

Re: clicky: wedding ring(s)

  • I used to be super "I'm never taking it off" (like for the first couple months of being engaged, lol), but then realized how much quicker it gets dirty.  Now I actually try to remember to take them off/not wear them at home - otherwise I'll be doing dishes and cleaning and well, that's probably not helping with the not getting dirty thing.
  • I wear mine in and out of the home, but I take it off when doing dishes, yard work, manual labor, etc.  I have a really high setting, but I'm used to wearing the rings now, so most things (that aren't labor intensive) are easy for me to do with the rings on.  I usually keep the rings on when I wash my hands, because I'm scared that if I get into the habit of taking them off each time I have to wash my hands I'll forget to put them back on when I'm at a bar or something when I'm sauced.

  • I pretty much only take them off when I'm gardening or rolling dough/cooking something really messy that I'm using my hands for.

  • I only take it off for kneading dough. :)

  • I just have a plain gold band that I wear all the time and it only comes off when I take a shower or do dishes. I'm just afraid of it slipping off.

  • I specifically designed my wedding band so that I wouldn't need to take it off to do any tasks - I set the stones flush so the setting wouldn't get caught on stuff and it doesn't have any nooks or crannies to get catch dough when I'm baking. So essentially - I haven't taken it off since I put it on.

  • I take mine off before bed and to shower.  I'll also remove them if I'm kneading dough, etc.  I remember to put them on 99% of the time in the mornings before I leave the house and I chose my band specifically so if I wanted to wear just the band, then it's (I think) nice enough to stand on its own and I'll typically wear just the band if I know I'll be doing something labor intensive (e.g. working in the yard, hot yoga, etc) that day or if I just feel like wearing only the band.

  • Mine is a simple stainless steel ("like appliances" as my MIL lovingly says, haha) with a small stone set flush with the band. I only take it off when I'm handling ground beef or boxing. So, I pretty much never take it off.

  • i answered in pre-pg times... but it still isn't accurate. i chose "never ever", but that's not true either. never-ever unless there's some sort of travel to sketchy places involved. i.e. we took them off while swimming in hawaii, we didn't wear them our entire HM in tahiti, and i didn't wear my e-ring, but wore my wedding band only during our mexico vacay.

now that i'm fat/pg, i wear a fake. it actually looks very similar to my real one.

  • I wear mine constantly normally. However while pregnant my fingers shrank and it didn't fit right so I didn't wear it. Then for the first couple weeks after Edmund was born I didn't wear the ering but did the wedding band. Now I wear both and only take them off if I am giving Edmund a bath or washing dishes.

  • I voted never ever, but the only time I take my set off (they're fused together) is for putting on lotion or sunscreen or kneading dough.
  • I picked the SS due to pregnancy, haha.

Right now, I'm wearing just the wedding band, since e-ring+wedding band is just too wide for my swollen fingers, boo.

I generally take my rings off for: 1) showering, 2) doing dishes, 3) handling raw meat/kneading dough/etc, or 4) vacationing in sketchy places, lol. Everything else, they stay on through!

Not too worried about them being clean/sparkly; the jeweller's is happy to clean 'em as often as I feel like coming in. :)
