I hope you don't mind. Naming this baby has been much harder than DS.
We think we've decided on Claire for the first name but could also switch it to a middle name if we found something else we liked. Claire is a family name so we arent really looking for a family name for the other name.
So... what middle names do you like for Claire? Elizabeth is out (my cousins daughter is Claire Elizabeth).
Or any other first names with Claire as a middle name?
Re: Another Baby Name Post
It's hard for me to do names not knowing how it would sound with your last name, but I will play along anyway because Claire is one of my absolute favorite names!!
I love -
Claire Elaine
Cecilia Claire
Vanessa (my middle name) Claire
Eleanor Claire
Alexis Claire
My last name is one syllable, starts with a P... not sure if that helps.
Clare Marie is our favorite baby girl name. Clare Beth is another one I really like.
If we were to use it as a middle name, I like Evelyn Clare & Meghan Clare (although I'm pretty sure I'm not ever allowed to use Meghan as a name).
Would your maiden name work as a middle name?
I like Beth, or...Mallory, Danielle, Emily, Amelia or Amelia Claire
I think it would!
My favorite girl name.
That is exactly my full name, correct spelling and all.
ETA: i hope that doesn't ruin the name for you.
A good friend of mine has a Cecilia Claire. I love that.
I also like Evelyn Claire, Claire Evelyn and your maiden name as a middle name.
Claire Isabelle
Claire Addison
Claire Abigail
Claire Ainsley
Claire Allison
Claire Annelise
Claire Anne
Claire Annaleigh
Claire Beulah (just kidding)
Claire Brianne, Brianna, Brielle
Claire Edith
Claire Eileen
Claire Gabrielle
Claire Hannnah
Claire Hortense (kidding too)
Claire Jenae
Claire Lauren
Clarie Lillian
Claire Marie
Claire Natalie
Claire Noel
Claire Olivia
Claire Rachel
Claire Weslie
Claire Adrienne
Claire Eleanor
Claire Gale
Claire Grace
Claire Helen
Claire Madeline
Claire Mackenzie
Claire Alyssa/Alissa
Claire Avery
Claire Audrey
Claire Evelyn
Sorry, that's a ton. I just went though and listed all the ones I thought sounded nice together, and the bolded are my favs.
Good lord, Jen! That's a ton!
It would work but for some reason, my DH thinks it would be weird since that my middle name is now my maiden name... buuut... now that I think about it... our DS's middle name is the same as DH's so whats the difference. We will be discussing this tonight, ha!
I don't know if I subliminally remembered this from your list you sent me or not, but its definitely on the list. Elise is a variation of Elizabeth (which does happen to be a family name). Last night I was reviewing your list again and saw Claire Elise and realized I'd have to give you some credit if thats the final decision
I think that would be neat. Son has dad's middle name and daughter has mom's middle name, plus it carries on your family name.
When I just read this I really liked the Claire Elise combination. So I said it out loud. And heard it as Clarice in a creepy Anthony Hopkins voice. Ruined it for me. And I'll probably have a nightmare tonight.
Claire Elizabeth was on our short list (down to 4 and then 3).
I do like Claire Olivia or Olivia Claire.
I also like Claire Jolie, Claire Belle, Claire Michele, Claire Helena, Claire Alexandra... but I pronounce almost all of those witha french accent...
The hippie inside me likes Claire Ciel (translates to bright sky), Claire Celeste (translates to clear heaven or bright heaven). Claire Anastasia (or the reverse) - bright resurrection.
I like a lot of names that end with an A as first names followed by Claire.
Laura Claire. Aurora Claire (bright dawn). Anna Claire. Victoria Claire. Rebecca Claire. Hannah Claire. Sarah Claire. Nora Claire.
