How is everyone today? We turned on the furnace yesterday, so I'm a happy camper. It was actually comfortable in the house yesterday.
Dinner is in the crockpot now (pulled pork w/ pork tenderloin) so we'll see how that goes. Last time I attempted a pork tenderloin in the crockpot we ended up with shoe leather.
Tonight I'm off to a visitation. The father of one of my good work friends passed away late last week, so a few of us are going up tonight to show our support.
And thus starts a week of crockpotting!

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Good Morning!
Good morning! Today is my fake Friday and I could not be happier about it. I am going to Cleveland tomorrow to visit my BFF and she is taking me to see Duran Duran as a belated birthday present.
That said, I have a crap ton of work to get done today before I can go, so it's busy busy. I got here early and will probably end up staying late.

Good morning,
So apparently today we are getting our first cold front of the fall. I'm so looking forward to just getting home and cuddle with the dogs and DH. We are suppose to have weather in the low 50s for tonight. I know that might not be consider cold for some of you but we live in Texas where it is always hot. So 50s is pretty chilly for us.
Morning! Yesterday's U/S went well. I absolutely could not hold my pee, and have to stop at my house before the doctor. They were still able to see the heartbeat, which was awesome to see..
Today after work, a couple friends and I are going to stalk Bradley Cooper. He is filming a movie nearby, and I love him.
We decided this morning that we'll have to turn on our furnace tonight after work. The house was pretty chilly this morning when we were trying to get out of bed.
I had a productive evening of cleaning last night. I got quite a bit of work done. I feel like I'm in Spring cleaning mode right now - maybe fall cleaning?
I also found out last night that I'm going to be an aunt! Kyle's sister is 4 weeks along. They're telling the family at Thanksgiving but we got to find out early. This will be the first baby on either side of our family so we're both very excited. Kyle also found out yesterday that he has a job interview this week. It will be either tomorrow or Thursday; they're finalizing the time today. So if anyone has any extra job vibes, I'm sure he would appreciate them. He has been pretty miserable at his job for a while now so we're really hoping that something will work out for him soon.
Good morning. I haven't been around much lately. Russ has been home for a week and is home for another week still so we've been busy. We just bought a new Jeep Patriot on Saturday and I got to bring it home yesterday. It's so fast...
It was Gibson's 6th birthday yesterday so after he finished school we took the kids out for dinner and then came home and did the present and cake thing. I can't believe he's 6 already! Time flies!
Today hopefully I'm going to pull the subs out of the Explorer and install them in the Jeep. The whole stereo/speaker system needs an overhaul. I'm big on the music in my vehicles so this just has to get done before it snows.
Congrats on being a soon-to-be Aunty, abarber! How exciting!!
Have a great day everyone.
Good Morning. I might be the debbie downer this morning sorry guys....
I am so exhausted. I did not sit down yesterday until after 10. I had my annual gyno appt and didn't get out of there till after 6pm because he was doing a csection. I didn't get home til 7 then I had to spend some time with Preston before bedtime. Me and Jordan didn't get started on homework till 8:00...which is normally Jordan's bedtime.
I have something to do every day this week after work on top of busy day at work. I pray I find some energy and make it thru the week or at least some motivation to do it all.
Aw, I feel you. I had a leadership meeting last night that basically consisted of us trying to figure out the mess that our budget is in. One of the last members of leadership totally left things in a mess (ie. decided to spend all of this year's budget without consulting anyone so I have ZERO money to work with this year).
Also, I'm embarrassed to say that I've put back on all the weight I lost (all 8 lbs of it) for Hawaii this summer, and that makes me sad. Since we started TTCing, I started maintaining this why bother mentality, and I really shouldn't be treating my body the way I have been lately. So, it's back on the exercise/eating regime for me.

Morning ladies. Congrats ABarber on becoming an aunt soon. And job vibes headed Kyles way!
Yesterday was kinda a blah day. I had workmen at the house, so I worked from home. I'm not entirely happy with everything they did -- I think they installed one of the lights incorrectly (it doesn't appear to be mounted flush to the ceiling as it should be). Yesterday evening was pretty relaxed. B and I caught up on some tv, and did some cleaning.
Today is going to be busy, but I'm going to try to stay focused and just get through it.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Congrats on your first nephew/niece Auntie Amie!
Crystal - Sounds like you had a rough night, hope your week gets better.
I'm also a bit of a debbie downer this morning, we had to put J's dog to sleep yesterday
. He was diagnosed with cancer right after labor day and we were told he had 3 months max. I'm a bit relieved it happened pretty fast and he didn't have to suffer.
Here's a pic of Flank (on right) with my nephew. He's laying next to his tire that he used to drag everywhere he went!
Other than that just a normal work day for me. It's pretty chilly here too, currently 32*F with a high of 57*F. We actually had a few snow flakes blowing around this morning when I left for work.
Aww Bailey* I'm so sorry. Hopefully it's somewhat comforting to know he's not in pain anymore and enjoying all the tires he can find in dog world.
abarber* Job vibes headed to Kyle.
We had a normal, chill night. I'm sad I fell asleep before our CBS lineup of TV shows last night. It's really the only upside to a Monday. We were ecstatic that Jackson slept almost all night. He only woke up at 2:30, which is a very big deal for us. His first day of daycare must have tuckered him out. Hopefully it's a trend he'll continue.
I'm thinking about buying a new cookbook, so hopefully some tasty treats will come this week.
-abarber job vibes headed your way for Kyle! Good luck!
-Bailey I'm really sorry about J's dog. That breaks my heart but like snoopy said at least he isn't in pain and now he has all the tires he could ever want!
So sorry dear.
Last night I had class but left early because I've been getting the most awful heart burn and I couldn't sit there another minute without some type of relief. The dr just put me on zantac at my last appt (Friday) so I'm hoping it just takes a couple of days to start working. I swear tums are my best friend. Other than that I make pumpkin chocolate chip cupcakes and started cleaning the house for bunco, it's at my house tomorrow night.
Tonight is school and finish cleaning. I hate that I can't seem to fit it all in one day anymore. I just get so exhausted these days. OY! Hope all of you ladies have a good day!
Bailey - *hugs* to you and J.
Last night was low key at my house. DH was passed out on the couch from his boss' day activities when I came home. He wouldn't wake up for anything - so I went about my night.
Not sure how tonight is going to go because after sleeping all night DH woke up at 4am miserable and unable to sleep any longer, so I have a feeling he'll be a joy tonight as well.
Hello! Busy, busy morning here, trying to get the new person up to speed. But so far, so good.
Last night was a bust--I did nothing but eat a quick dinner and then veg out. Tonight I'll be meeting with my book club to talk about Shirley Jackson's "The Haunting of Hill House." So nothing to exciting, just a bit busy.
Hope everyone has a lovely day!
Bailey - so sorry to hear about J's dog.
Abarber - good luck to your DH!
Good morning ladies. I'm having somewhat of a crappy day but I'll save that for another post. Last night was low key. I bought a few things I needed and then relaxed at home.
Today I'm leaving work a bit early to take Olivia for pictures in her baptism dress. After that I'm going shopping for a few things we still need for the party and then I have laundry to do. Have a great day ladies!
Morning (afternoon really).
I pulled a 10 hour day yesterday to make up for the time I lost today. I also was in here at 6:30. I just got back from my sister's FIL's funeral. I did great until my niece and then sister spoke. Breaks my heart seeing them cry like they did. Sad day.
Otherwise, I am off to the dentist after work, and then hopefully seeing DH before he heads into work.
Have a great day ladies.
Today was a least a little better than yesterday. Work was ridiculously busy.
When we got home I decided it was time to turn the furnace on. I'm getting ready to take DH to the airport. He's going to be in Toronto until Thursday night writing math questions for the grade 9 EQAO exam. After I drop him off I'm going to try and get some miles on the treadmill at the gym. At least this way, if I'm not feeling right, I can stop and not have to worry about walking home.
