Oh, man, apples.
One of my favourite things about fall.
I voted Pink Lady, since they're a new find of mine that I've been grooving on, but I'm also really fond of the Jazz apples (yeah, I know they're imported; they're still tasty!), the honeycrisps, and a bunch more. Basically the only ones I don't like are the current-day Red Delicious (nasty!); the rest are all good.
The ones we have around these days are too woody and mealy and lack a lot of the flavour they used to have. I might use 'em to bake with, maybe, but not for eating!

jumped ship to the new and improved nest. back to TB for baby boards.
I don't really eat apples, but DH loves honeycrisp since moving to Washington.
I usually use granny smith apples for baking stuff.
