Girls who sew- How young?
We were walking around Costco with MIL the other day and Maren spotted a Hello Kitty kid's sewing machine. Now she wants it for Christmas. MIL can sew and said either she would get it for her or if Santa brings it, she would help Maren learn to sew on it (I have no idea how to sew.) I do think she would love it. Is 5 1/2 too young? Thoughts?

Alex and I got a sewing machine together for Christmas (she was 8). I know nothing about sewing so we have been learning together when we make things.
I think if she is interested, start her young. You never know, you may have the next Diane Von Furstenberg on your hands.
