As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I have the best BF ever :)
Most of you know FF accidently dropped my DSLR on our last camping adventure (Well, he pulled it off the bed in the camper when his knee got stuck in the neck strap and the camera went crashing onto the floor). We had it looked at it, and the issue was with the body and the lens was fine (thank goodness, because I had only had the lens for a few weeks!) THe guy said it would be $200 minimum for repairs, and most likely would run much more than that. (My camera was $500 new). FF was offering to pay for the repairs since he was the one who broke the camera, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to have my old one reparied, or put that money into a new, upgraded model. After much conversation, FF decided he would upgrade my DSLR for my birthday and Christmas gifts. I'm stoked!!!
So, next week, I'll be the proud owner of a Nikon D5100. I can't wait!!!

I kept asking him how much I could contribute, but he refused. But I did get him to let me pay for the 3-year warranty, ha! And now he's off the hook from trying to think of gift ideas for my birthday and Christmas....lucky!!!
Uggggh....no. He's the type of guy that if he wants something, he goes ahead and buys it. I wanted to get him the boxed set of the Rescue Me series, but I'm not sure if it'll be out by Christmas. If not, I'll just buy him the first 5 seasons and include an IOU for Season 6
That is what I'm thinking of getting J too. He loves that show and our DVR messed up and deleted season 5 so he was only able to watch 2 episodes. So of course we didn't watch 6 either.
