Where to park a moving van overnight?

I'm so nervous to keep it on our street. But it's currently the only idea we have.

Re: Where to park a moving van overnight?

  • how tall/high is it?  maybe you can pay for an overnight lot?  or, see if you can get the temp parking restriciton signs to post right in front of your house so you can check on it during the night with minimal issues.

  • This is inconvenient, but can you keep it overnight at the new house? You'd have to load, go drop it off, go back to the cc house, and go back and pick it up the next day.

If you can't do this, put a lock on it and park the back of it close to another car - preferably your own car so no one can get close enough to pull anything out.

  • Can you stick it under 95?

our new street is illegal to park a truck on at night! this is what we wanted to do.

the car idea is golden though we can do that here at the very least.

  • Most major malls have overnight parking areas - I know Neshaminy does, although thats probably not close to you.
  • You're more than welcome to park it in front of our house.

That's a really great idea -  I wouldn't be comfortable with leaving it on the street, either. Do you know anyone with a garage/driveway where you could park the van, even if it's not convenient to your house? I'm not sure how big the van is.
