    SS - my parents have an apple tree in their yard (grafted with about 5 varieties!) so growing up that was always a big 'chore' each fall.  I don't mean it in a bad way, I like doing it, but it's not something I would go pay to do now.  Also, I still help with it now so that's where I get my apples from (mostly for baking etc since they do often get bugs).

    I think it'd be fun ... but I would want something to use all those apples for ... otherwise they'd just go to waste in our fruit bowl :(.

    And speaking of our next GTG...we'll be close to settled in our house soon and we have a really great LARGE kitchen...so if anyone wanted to have a baking or cookie/cupcake decorating GTG, I offer up my house in Renton!

    Seriously...I've been wanting to go apple picking, and DH thinks it's silly.  And when I googled it, the closest place I found (without looking too hard, admittedly) was in Bellingham or Yakima.  (No idea which is closer...Bellingham?)

    Bellingham is an hour and a half from Seattle (almost exactly), straight up I-5.  Yakima is probably two and a half hours (SE).

    So I voted Lame, but I'd probably go, but that's not exactly how I feel. I think I would be a maybe as I've never done it before, but it seems an awful lot of work and far to go, so I'd only consider it in Woodinville.
