Wednesday never promised you a rose garden
It is raining and shitty here, so of course this is the day I have to tramp all over the city for meetings.
Last night I went home, changed, then bolted right to Sean's game for his senior night. A lot of my family was there so that was nice. Got home at 9, fed the dogs and let them out, then slathered myself with Vicks vaporub and got right into bed.
My friend Melissa found her mom dead yesterday. Pat was in her 70s and not in bad health so it was a shocker. I feel very bad for her today.
Why isn't it Friday at 5 yet? This cold is killing me.
Re: Wednesday never promised you a rose garden
Oh, Steph that is awful about your friends mom.
They have been forcasting this awful rain here. To the fact of Monday night I got a phone call saying if the public schools cancel school we will not have school. It has barely rained.
To is my Friday! Next week is going to suck because all the holidays are over and we have full weeks till Thanksgiving but after that I will be done.
Greg found a starbuck gift card while cleaning so I decide to use it today not knowing how much if any was even on it. It was exactly except 1 penny for my coffee and coffee cake so YAY for free starbucks today!
We are going up to Tallahassee on Saturday for the FSU Maryland game. I am not looking forward to the 4 hour drive there and back and sitting on bleacher seats. I am super excited to go I wish it wasn;t so last minute so we could stay over. The hotel we stay at has THE BEST SHOWER EVER!!!!!!! I kid you not. I am in love with the hotel shower. Maybe when we are there I can try and sneak in and shower in someones room.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend Steph.
It's raining here. Bright side - I have an interview tomorrow! I emailed a former boss who moved to a new company, and I must have had great timing because they've got someone going on maternity leave. He rec'd me and I've got my fingers crossed it works out!
My boss was out yesterday and today. Hopefully she'll be out tomorrow. But in the meantime, I'm doing nothing. If I really stretched I could come up with something to do, but I'm not in a rush until my boss gets back and I have to look busy.
DH was super sweet and drove me to the doctor for a blood test (nothing serious - just a followup) instead of playing his new video game that he was really looking forward to. Instead, he started when we got home, lost track of time and played until 3:30! I don't really feel all that sorry for the man. He will start playing again tonight after Modern Family, I'm sure.
Xtine hurrah for free Starbucks! I have yet to have a pumpkin spice latte this season. Maybe Friday.
EMiLee-yay interview! Good luck!!!
2 more days til the weekend.
Raining buckets = bad hair day.
That is all.
Ugh Steph, that's terrible! Sorry to hear that!
It's cold here and supposed to start raining this afternoon.
Started my morning by having to tell a co-worker to back off. She is NOT in my department yet to she thinks she needs to intervene with me and my employees. I don't think so!!! My boss (who is also this woman's boss) has stepped in before telling her to basically butt out, but aparently she didn't take a hint. So i took it upon my hormonal self to send a stern, yet, dipolmatic email telling her what was up (and I blind copied my boss on there). Not how I wanted to start the day.
In other news, I love fall, but I hate how it stays dark so much later. So hard to get out of bed in the morning.
Steph - sorry to hear about your friend's mom, that sucks. Hope you feel better soon too.
Yesterday after work I made a quick stop at Target to pick up (3) pics I printed and a few other things. Dinner was shredded pork in the crockpot (which turned out fab, btw), risotto and broccoli. After dinner, took the dog on a walk and the weather was so nice! Even though it was dark, it was nice to get out. I have one more week to go to find out if this IUI worked or not, still crossing fingers and toes!
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
Morning ladies. It is also chilly and rainy here. BAH. Although, with my cold/bronchitis/whatever, it was glorious to sleep in til 10. That almost never happens.
I don't have a lot to add right now, I'm boring as crap today apparently... sorry.
Steph - How awful for your friend. That must have been so completely devastating. I totally feel for her. That's how K's dad went - totally unexpectedly - and it was so hard to deal with.
Emilee - Good luck on the interview! I hope it all works out! :-)
Leo - Crossing my fingers for you that the IUI works! Are you just a big ball of nervous energy waiting to find out?!I had a hard time remembering what I did last night... I think I went grocery shopping, watched Wheel & Jeopardy, cleaned the cat litter (barf.), showered and went to bed.
This morning I had to have blood drawn for my physical. Here's to hoping my cholesterol isn't sky high and everything's on track! :-)
Steph- Sorry to hear about your friend's mom. T&P to her and her family.
Yesterday our costumes were delivered. I went to try mine on and when I was unbuttoning the jacket, two of the buttons popped off! WTF?!?! Then when I tried putting the darn thing on, it didn't fit. There was no way in hell that was an X-Large! Anyhow, I just bought another costume online. This time I bought a Matador costume for $24 including shipping. It was a nice deal because the costume was on clearance for $20, I then got $20% off, plus tax and shipping total was $24...not bad at all.
I weighed myself this morning and I am down 2 lbs. I was so surprised because I haven't been trying to diet or working out much. I haven't been eating as much so I guess that's where the weight loss came from. It was a pleasant surprise.
Great...now I want a PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte). I have to limit myself to one per week.
Jen- GL on the interview!
Good morning ladies!
I have been completely mia since I have been so crazy busy. Monday and Tuesday I subbed all day at an elementary school and then worked at the restaurant during the night. I am really enjoying subbing and the kids have been awesome for the most part. This makes me seriously consider changing up my career plans.
Today is going to be all about laundry and cleaning since we had company last week and everything got ignored. I also desperately need to get to the grocery store, I haven't went in almost two weeks and we have been eating oatmeal, cereal, and pb&j for the last few days.
Also, last week I logged on to my bank account to find a charge for $775 on stub hub. Turns out that someone, somehow got a hold of my credit card information and decided to go to the Lions vs. Bears game and sign up for Match.com, among other things. The bank officially sucked at helping me, but they closed down my card and credited the account extra (I am not about to point that error out). Here is to hoping that is the only information they got on me.
OHHHHHH, I would be insanely po'd!!! (As i'm sure you were). Everytime i've heard of something like this happening to either myself or someone I know, it's always interesting to see what they spent money on though....... Maybe these people were hoping to finding Mr./Mrs. right on Match and take them to the game?? Ok, not funny I know........
I just heard on the radio this week that there are people who OD on pumpkin stuff (well, can't really od, but they consume too much)
That blows! At least you caught it before they wracked up any more debt on your tab!
I think I have too much going on for an exhausted KU lady. Work has been insane, on Monday I had dance lessons and soccer. Yesterday was game night. Tonight is baking class. Luckily, I have nothing to do tomorrow and Friday (except watch Grey's and read), but we're telling our families this weekend, so that means we're driving down to NJ.
I got my flu shot yesterday after running around town trying to find a pharmacy that will give one to a pregnant chick in her 1st trimester (blah blah blah no single shots blah blah blah preservatives blah blah blah mercury blah blah blah we can't do it). Last night, I swear to Dumbledore that my freaking cat stepped on my arm EXACTLY where I got the shot SEVEN times. And I'm still effing sore.
Baking class is a test followed by sanitation (aka cleaning the baking lab). Part of me wants to just skip it. I don't care about my grades and I don't want to clean my own kitchen let alone the school's kitchen.
I WANT MY BED! And one of those M&M ice cream sandwiches.
/whining.
The Princess of Anything is Coming!
Had a dream I was queen.
Woke up. Still queen.
Ughh, no thank you to cleaning a kitchen that is not my own
Yes please for M&M ice cream sandwhich
