my cousin had this short story on her fbook....
The difference between men and women and their friendships
A woman goes out without her husband. She doesn't come home at night and doesn't call. When she gets home the next day, she tells her husband she stayed at a friends house. He calls her 10 best friends- All of them say they were not with her last night and do not know where she stayed.
A man goes out without his wife. He doesn't come home at night and doesn't call. When he gets home the next day, he tells his wife that he stayed at a friends house. She calls his 10 best friends- 8 of them say "Yes" he stayed there last night, and 2 of them claim that he's still there.

yah, 10 is alot, i barely have 1...but i guess that is besides the point.
i think if i were the wife and my hubby didn't come home and didn't call, i would be calling everyone i know looking for him!
Yeah, me, too, lol. As well as the main number for wherever it was he was SUPPOSED to be going. And by the time the sun actually rose, I'd be on to calling the hospitals in the area and counting down the hours until I could call the police and file a missing persons report.
Staying out all night and not calling is an explicit no-no in our relationship, and there is no excuse good enough to save him from my wrath if he put me through all that worry without being in a hospital for something truly serious.

Me too! I've never had "the best friend." Any of my bests over the years always had more than one and I wasn't usually their favorite

Exactly. I had a best friend back when I was living in Texas. But of course I moved away.
I don't have any best friends now because I moved so much growing up. I have a lot of close friends, but they wouldn't consider me as a best friend. As I wouldn't consider them as best friends.
Though DH says I am his best friend. But it's not the same as a best girl friend.
