I think I may be crazy

But I'm about to buy the Kosama LIving Social deal.  I need something to kick start my weight loss goals... I'm afraid, very, very afraid!  Anyone done it and loved it?  I hate working out, so I'm hoping the variety will help.  And I'm trying to convince a friend to do it with me!

Re: I think I may be crazy

  • I?m in that boat, too, and I was considering it since the location and class times are good for me.  And the cost is good compared to what they usually charge.  Sheesh!

But I don?t get it.  The ?program? is an 8 week deal (which started Monday).   The living social deal is for a month?s worth of classes/etc.  That doesn?t jive.  I guess I should just call to clarify, but we all know it?s easier to just pass it up.  HA.  And that?s why I?m in this boat :)

Do you happen to know any more about it?  Or does anyone out there?

    thanks to jennied :)

  • I called this morning and the guy said that it could start 11/1, 12/1, 1/1, etc.  I am doing 11/1 and there is an assessment on 168th and Center location on 10/30 at 7pm.  So they have the normal 8 week sessions, but also run 1 month mini sessions too.  I don't get it, but I know I'll be enrolled from 11/1-11/30. Yikes!
  • Do it, I have many friends doing it and they say its hard but a great workout.
  • I don't know anybody who's gone the whole 8 weeks, but my sister has gone a few times as a guest with a friend and she seemed to like it. I don't remember her mentioning it being extremely intense or anything, but she did make a comment that the instructors weren't the greatest - as in they'd be huffing and puffing, or like they were just going through the motions (this was at the Maple location).  I think it looks like a great deal though!

As for starting in the middle of a session, I doubt it would make a difference, especially since they offer so many different times. I did a different LivingSocial three-week camp this summer, and we started mid-session and I didn't think it made any difference at all.
