XP 1st Birthday Party Ideas Needed
We just moved to TN but we are coming back to TX for DS's birthday on
Dec 3. I went ahead and booked Indoor Safari Park in Southlake but I
want to explore other options. I want it to be something he will enjoy
but we will have a lot of adults too (Safari Park not so fun for
adults). Winter baby = no outdoor party.
We have the option of using my brother's neighborhood clubhouse but would need to have some sort of entertainment.
Any suggestions??? TIA

Re: XP 1st Birthday Party Ideas Needed
Oh lord - this is right up my alley. I have a 4 year old with a December birthday. These are all in Southlake
http://www.jumpforfunparty.com/ - we actually did her party here last year and it was great
http://www.iswimemler.com/programs/pool_parties (indoor pool party)
http://www.jumpzoneparty.com/Birthday-Party-for-Kids.php?jzpcity=Southlake&jzpid=021 - same jumping idea
http://www.urbanairtrampolinepark.com/ - indoor trampoline park... seriously. We are considering have DH's birthday party here, because let's face it... that's awesome.
And of course, there's Chuck E. Cheese in Grapevine (by the mall)

For my daughter's 1st birthday we just did a party at home with family. We did the whole strip her down to her diaper and let her play in her cake thing. But really, at 1 she wasn't really into much else! She wasn't walking yet though.
I remember 4 was Chuck E Cheese, 5 was a big "formal" party at home where all the kids dressed up and she had a pinata--I will never forget that party! I think for 6 we did Build-A-Bear--back then it was brand new and I remember all the parents thought it was very cool. And then it was slumber parties after that.
Mel's birthday is 1/31--but strangely enough, I can remember lots of birthdays when it was warm!
I realize this post was no help--I was just reminiscing!
With All the Trimmings
Just do it!
You are too cute!
OK, and I just noticed your child is turning 1.
For my daughter's first birthday party... we did something at home. Food, games and family... I wouldn't do a big production quite yet.
As you can tell, I am in party-planning mode already.

You are awesome! SD's bday will be shortly after baby is due and I'm not going to want to plan anything and we did skate party last year, jump house for her 5th and for the first 4 years DH had it at CEC. This is different and the cousins all love our trampoline but I won't have to clean before or after! Thank you for the suggestion!
