what'd you do that worked? I know they're young - 12w/7w adjusted this coming Friday - but chris goes back to work in 2 (3?) weeks and something has to give. Quinn sleeps from 8-12, then till 3 or 4 then till 6 or 7 now. She's manageable and I think up an appropriate amount for her size/age. Avery is a disaster. She's hard to put down and generally screamy if you move her off whatever position she likes on your chest from 8-10 or 11. The last two nights she's only slept in her crib 30 min at a pop and spent the rest sleeping (perfectly fine) on us. It'd be perfectly fine with me if she and quinn slept the same, even being up twice overnight.
Any tips/ideas to a) get her to sleep, you know, not on us and b) sleep longer?

2012 Reading Challenge
The only answer I have is wait until they are about 9-10 mos. Seriously it sucks, but ben only slept thru the night in the last few months, and I tried EVERYTHING the pedi recommended, however she did tell me that some kids it's like 15-16 mos before they sleep thru the night.
I do agree with the bedtime routine.
This whole sentence made me giggle but especially the bolded.
I'm hoping they'll be sleeping well enough we can trade off nights soon. Getting up twice every other night sounds ok to me. Last night Avery fussed for a couple of hours (the witching hour is no joke with this kid) and finally went to sleep at 11. Chris fed Quinn at like 2 and I remember telling her to wake me if I didn't hear Avery. I woke up in a panic at 5 and checked on them. The kid slept till 6!
a routine + maybe she needs to be slightly elevated (maybe she's having some small reflux issues?)
Is she sleeping on her tummy when she is on your chest? If so that may be because her tummy feels better that way?
I think they are waking up a normal amount so just keeping some routine should help.
just because she doesn't spit up doesn't mean there is no reflux, it could be silent reflux which is what Lucy had, it might be worth it if it means more sleep
