Rachel Zoe (10/18) spoilers
Although I am addicted to this show, I am ever annoyed by it. I thought last nights episode was even more extreme with product placement and scripted scenes than usual.
* Joey is exactly like Rachel--they talk exactly alike and have the same mannerism
*Joey's brother didn't just show up in NYC for the styling--that was planned so Joey could have someone to talk to on camera. I am sure they flew in that brother from wherever.
*I like Rachel was MIA from most of this episode. I think a lot of things were filmed around her, so she could have time off/with the baby. I think a lot of what we saw about the birth was made up.
*The "push present" was ridiculous. Neil Lane supplies all those rings (i.e. the Bachelor) and I highly doubt Rodger paid for it. It is an ad that Rachel wears.
*Jeremiah (is that his name?) the design guy--his story line is so made up. They had that nursery planned for months. It is just for drama.
*And all that name dropping of designers while Joey was pulling dresses was also just an ad.
I mean, Rachel Zoe is smart because ads are the way she makes money, but the fakeness of this "reality" show is even more extreme IMO.

I love her and her show. I think yes there is a lot of name dropping, but its about fashion- how do you talk about clothing without dropping names? So much of her business is built on her relationships with designers, she gets clothes becasue she gets their looks out there and at red carpet events. People don't talk about the great red dress at the oscars, they talk about that great Chanel dress that "insert acress name" wore.
As for the push present, I'm pretty sure Rodger paid for it- yes Neil Lane got publicity for it, but lets be honest here- Neil Lane doesn't need his name dropped- he's very well known without the Rachel Zoe show, and that ring was hot, I would wear that in a heartbeat.
The nursery, yet it was planned- they ordered the furniture, but it wasnt set up, as per their jewish tradition, so I think it was always to plan to have Jeremiah set it up, but Rachel didnt plan on firing him, remeber Rodger did. He was nice to come back and help.
I'm shocked that her net worth isnt more as the PP stated.
