Scary movies (stolen from D&R)
Do you like scary movies?
What's the scariest one you've seen?
Re: Scary movies (stolen from D&R)
I hate scary movies.. I cannot even watch a tv show that is intense before bed or I freak out. I think its more since I am home alone a lot, but still dont like them.
I haven't seen many- just the classics.
Do you like scary movies? Yes. I always have
What's the scariest one you've seen? That's tough. I really like the older movies (Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street... etc) But some of the newer ones are just too much for me to handle. They are way to graphic for me.
It's funny. I used to love criminal minds, but now that we bought a house I can not watch another episode. I guess I felt safer in the apartment since it was a locked building, and some episodes are about people breaking into other people's houses.
Same here!
I was at a sleepover when I was like 14 and everyone was watching The Exorcist. Me and another girl left the room cause it was too scary! LOL.

Ditto. I hate scary movies. The Exorcist gave me nightmares for like 2 years. I still get freaked out if I hear noises in the ceiling at night.
I like them, but I haven't seen one in a long, long time because Kirk hates them.
The scariest one growing up was The Exorcist, because the ending exorcism actually happened in St. Louis at a hospital that was close to our house, and the wing where it happened is still closed to the public.
Stand up for something you believe in.
I do like them, although I find that I have less of a tolerance for them since I had Ellie. Now I can't stand to watch anything that involves small children.
I think the scariest movie I've ever seen was A Clockwork Orange. It's not gory, it's all psychological. Really messes with your head.
I love them, but mostly just the old ones. I don't find a lot of the new ones that scary, just gross.
This. I don't know anyone from STL who wasn't extra terrified of the Exorcist because of this.
Nightmare on Elm Street still terrifies me more than anything though. But I LOVE it.
I love scary movies.
The only kind that I have a hard time watching are ones dealing with demonic possession, because for whatever reason that theme terrifies me more than any other in the horror genre. The scariest one for me was Paranormal Activity, so much so that whenever the commercial comes on for the new one, I have to change the channel. Oddly, I can watch The Exorcist, as long as its during the day.
:Blog:
I love the paranormal and anything to do with ghosts, demonic possession, etc, but I HATE scary movies. I prefer to use my imagination (way scarier) than seeing all the gore and nastiness that most horror movies have all over them.
I do like Nightmare on Elm Street. I've never seen any of the Halloween, Friday the 13th movies or The Exorcist. The Exorcist is on my watch list, it's just getting around to it. I have to watch it in the middle of the day or it'll creep me out way too much.
And Leslie--I'm the same with Criminal Minds, except I still watch it religiously. Now that I have my own house, every noise is some creeper trying to get in. When I lived with my parents every noise was a ghost!
