I think I made two 8 year olds crap their pants
I think I made two 8 year old crap in their pants today. I had some friends from out of town here and their son was looking out the window and said two kids were stealing my pumpkins off the porch (we live in a townhouse community) and so I open the door an my hormonal self took over. I raised my voice and told them to stop and put my pumpkins back on my porch NOW! I told them that it was very rude of them to go steal people's stuff and that I don't go around taking their stuff, so no need to steal mine i told them these were my daughters pumpkins. I also told them the sheriff was outside earlier and if I see them around here again I won't hesitate to have him come back.
You could tell they were scared that they were caught and that they would probably get in trouble, especially when I mentioned about the sheriff. I know they are only kids and only pumpkins, but you don't go around stealing people's stuff no matter how small. They are on fall break and bored, but that is no excuse. Someone also stole Peyton's big pumpkin and replaced it with a bigger pumpkin and I asked them if they stole that one and they said no, but my friend said if they stole it and didn't already smash it that it probably would be returned tonight. I think they were going around stealing because they also had my neighbors pumpkin and returned that one too.
I am not hateful so I was surprised at myself for being a little bit mean. I feel bad but you just don't go stealing stuff. I wish I would have asked them where they lived. I probably wouldn't have gone to their house but it would have scared them more as they already thought I would call the cops if I saw them again (which I wouldn't).

You were totally in the right here. The kids were trespassing and stealing. If no one stops them now, the cops will be the only ones to stop them later...

I was surprised at myself for being mean. My friends were in shock and couldn't believe that I actually did it and I was in shock too
I haven't seen them around anymore so maybe they took my threat to heart.
Good for you. You never know you might have changed those kids' lives! It's a short trip from pumpkin stealing to car jacking!!! No, seriously....if they don't respect other's things bad things will come later. GO MAMA BEAR!
