Dinner was AMAZING! If you haven't been you MUST try the Barbed Rose for dinner sometime. We had my favorite wine (a whole bottle), a twist on fried oysters (I actually liked ...them), and our dinner was amazing. DH had bbq chipotle shrimp with cheese grits (which don't sound gourmet but sooooo were!). I had a PERFECT filet mignon, mushrooms and asparagus. Since it was our anniv. they gave us complimentary dessert. We almost got bananas foster but decided on a sort of mousse-fudge thing with dark chocolate and frangelica and a berry glaze. So good. Oh and the customer service was the best I've had in brazoria county!
(Insert - best customer service after the whole foot in the mouth about it being our 22nd anniversary. But who am I to not give someone a chance to remove his foot and try again? I've chewed plenty of leather myself).

I am itching to try this place, especially before we move! I listen to MIchael Berry on 950 and 740 most afternoons, and he is always talking about how great it is, so I wanted to try it anyway...so I'm glad to hear another stellar review. Sounds right up my alley!
Why do you think WE went there? DH's request.
If you go, ask for Heath and tell him the [my last name]'s recommended him. :-)

Me thinks AprilLynn knows someone who works there and passed on the info. I did a google search and it didn't pull up this post in the first few pages. But I do think you can set up alerts on web crawlers to see if someone has mentioned your location - that might have alerted them about this post as well. Excellent monitoring of social networking - my PR guru BFF is all about that.
Barbed rose person - you can probably guess my last name if you have a record of the good reviews submitted for the same night so I'd appreciate that not being posted here. :-D Thanks in advance!
