     Hi,

I just had this conversation with a friend from college in the same boat as you.  She started charting so she could have a general idea of when O was expected and after a few months he was able to schedule time off around that.  It is not working out fantastic or anything because sometimes he is apparently exhausted when he comes home and they don't knock boots anyway, and sometimes she O's late or early..but at least the window is there and open.

    Good Luck! Smile

  • thanks for your input...yea my husband cannot take off whenever he has a schedule that is non-negotiable sooo that won't work for us sooo i just figure we do it as much as we can when he is home and we just might get lucky we had either a FP or CP about a month ago not really sure.....and that was actually a surprise didn't really think we wanted to get preggers but when it happened we were so excited and then when we found out i wasn't we were kind of upset so we figured we were ready to start trying.....but his schedule is so crazy i just wander how long it could take us....i know its possible bc his friends at work that work the same hitch as him...their having babies left and right so it seems to me anyway sooo i know its possible but was just wanting some input and wandering if other wives felt the same way but thanks so much does make me feel better knowing someone else is in my situation as well

  • Hi,

I just saw your post!  I literally thought I was the only one, my husband works offshore in Brazil.  We've been ttc for 3 years with no luck.  We are having other issues but his 28/28 schedule has helped out a lot.  I know when he was on 14/14 it was quite a bit more difficult.  If you ever need someone to vent to feel free!

  • My husband works offshore for BP and is on a 14/14 schedule. We have been TTC for over two years with no luck! We've both had all the tests done and are perfectly healthy where that is concerned, but it's so frustrating when my schedule doesn't match up with his! We want a baby so badly and honestly don't know WHAT to do at this point.
