Fall tv update

You guys rock! I came back to multiple posts! Let' s check in about fall TV! What new shows do you like, which ones failed, which ones are just ok? How about old favorites? So far I am loving Homeland. Couldn't get into Revenge, and Up All Night is just okay. I want to like it because I heart Christina Applegate. I am loving this season's S of A, Dexter, and Modern Fam. desp. Hw is dying a painful death and is ready to end.

Re: Fall tv update

  •  A couple of the ones I'm watching

    New Shows:
Up all night - Is still just alright for me, I'm still watching it but if I missed an episode I would be fine
    Pan Am - loving it!
X Factor - Right now, I'm the same way I am with Idol, I only really pay attention to the people when it gets down to like 10-12. But so far I like the concept and how they are split into different groups and each have a mentor

    Old Shows:
The Office: A lot funnier than I thought it was going to be
Parks & Rec: Same as Pan Am :)
Sunny & The League - 2 thumbs up

  • I really don't follow all that many shows. The only ones I'm really paying attention to right now are:

    Vampire Diaries

    X Factor

    DWTS (sorta)

  • I don't have cable, but I have been watching Desperate Housewives the day after when they post it on ABC.com. It's definitely not as well written as previous seasons, but I love the characters so I don't mind it. As long as there aren't any random airplane crashes on Wisteria Lane, I'm good. :)

  • New shows: I'm into Unforgettable, Revenge, American Horror Story. was really into The Playboy Club but it's already been shitcanned.

Old shows: Big Bang Theory is hilarious this season. Also enjoying this season of Grey's & Private Practice.

  • New:

Up All Night- I like it, don't love it.  Maya Rudolph needs to stop, I think it'd be funnier without as much of her in it.

The New Girl- This annoys me actually but Kirk kind of likes it.

    Old:

    Castle- Love.

Greys and Private Practice- I like them but he doesn't.

    Gossip Girl- Hilariously corny.

    Modern Family- Love.

    Big Bang Theory- Love.

How I Met Your Mother- Love.

Fringe- More H than me.  We've only seen 2 eps this season so far because we've been really busy and I refuse to watch while eating because of the ick factor.  I think it has jumped the shark.

Agree with this.  I actually heard that they re-did some of the episodes to increase Maya's character's role, but I actually would prefer less of her.  I really like Christina Applegate, and want her to have a show that succeeds, but I was hoping this was overall a better show.

I haven't watched too much new stuff.  I'm diggin' Ashton Kutcher on 2.5 men, but I don't watch it religiously.  Love The Middle and Modern Family.  NCIS is still great.  I'm kind of over House, and I don't know when or how that happened, but oh well.

Right?! Sometimes they jump the shark, but I kind of agree that it's time to go... I only watch every so often if I'm in the room when Matt's watching, so I know what's going on, but I'm not really invested.

    New Shows:

2 Broke girls- I feel like they run the show around getting to punch lines instead of a storyline, but I don't mind it and I do find myself laughing sometimes. Matt wanted to watch it, and I said 'tell me if it's good, delete it if it wasn't great'

Up All Night- It's ok for me too, but I love the actors too much to give up.

New Girl- I don't think I'm caught up, but the ones I've seen I really like, I think it's a cute show.

    Old Shows:

Grey's- Love how she's going back to the original cast while they're still here. A bunch is about to go down though cast wise, so be ready!

HIMYM- I feel like they stumble a little sometimes, but I still laugh at every epsiode and I love the cast.

Happy Endings- Freaking hilarious. Love it.

Parks and Rec- On point, Absolutely doing all the right things. "Treat yo self!"

  • I had high hopes for New Girl and Up All Night because I <3 Zooey Deschanel and Christina Applegate and they're okay.  Up All Night cracks me up because I feel like it is my life right now, if I didn't relate to it so much I don't think I would find it funny.

TerraNova - yeaaah....Joel has been looking for a replacement show for Lost (which there will never be) and he was hoping this would be it, but it's just terrible.  We watch it on demand and laugh through most of the episode because it's so ridiculous. I think it would be better if they actually carried more plot through each episode instead of making each individual episode its own story with only small details that connect each episode together.

    Old Shows:
    I still <3 Grey's.

The Office, it's doing alright and still has me laughing but I miss Steve Carell though.

I always forget about Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, but when I catch them I enjoy them.

I can't think of anything else we watch right now...

  • I don't watch anything new or cool.  I just don't have time for it. :/

I really want to like Up All Night but I'm having a hard time with it. I figured I'd be able to completely relate to it, but it's just sooo cheesy.  And the acting is a little strange. And it's too unrealistic for me.  (Seriously, my husband wouldn't take my new "mom car" to a body shop and have flames painted on it just to make it look cooler. )

Still watching Grey's.  This season is okay, it's holding my attention for the most part still.

DWTS.  Even Craig watches it with me.  I'm rooting for J.R. and Ricki though I was expecting much greater things Monday night after seeing her "Psycho" performance.

America's Next Top Model.  Yes I still watch this.  I can't stop.  I still love Allison.

  • I'm still undecided about New Girl - love ZD, but it's kind of corny.  But I like kind of corny from time to time...

    Stuff I've been watching:

House: getting bored with it.  but I've watched since the beginning, I don't think I'll ever quit.  I love house, but Cuddy being gone really hurts the show.

Sing Off: I'm a sucker for a capella.  Love it.  And LOVE Urband Method.  icing on the cake that they are from Denver.

Top Shot: call us rednecks, but this show (on History Channel) is fascinating.  Scott's big into guns, so he loves it for all kinds of reasons, but even for someone who doesn't know anything about them, it's super fun to watch.

Top Chef Jest Desserts: not as exciting as I would have hoped.  I hpe Matthew wines.

Greys: liking it more this season than the past few.

Big Bang: Love, love, love.  My favorite show on TV right now, honestly.
