A "couple" application
How would you apply for a job that is for a couple?
Would you make 2 cover letters and reference each other?
Any ideas?
It's for a camp director position-my DH would bring the financial and fundraising know-how, and I would bring a camp background.

Re: A "couple" application
So, it's one position that's posted, but you want to split it with your husband....like job share it?
Can you call them first and see if they're even interested in something like that, and how they would prefer you apply if they are?
They are interested. The previous directors were a couple, and are retiring, which is why the position is open.
I only have limited information-I don't even know the company as of yet, and only have an email address. Should I email them?
Here is the job announcement:
Unique and rare opportunity for individual (or couple) to assume directorship of a well-established, traditional, private camp in New England. Current camp directors are ready to retire, and we're looking for the next person(s) to lead this camp.... Send resume and covering info.....
I would sent a joint CL and separate resumes.

Dr. Loretta,
How would would it read? In third person? As in I wrote it about me and DH?
I would say "we are interested in the position advertised..." and "John has experience at...., while Mary has been..."
Um, no, in first person. We are writing to apply for the position. We can each bring our own experience to the job (briefly outlining for each), etc. Our resumes are attached for your considerations.
ETA: And don't be each other's references. Find 3 references for each of you.
