If I set the privacy of my photo album to "Just friends" and my mother shares it on her wall, can her friends who are not my friends see it? I can't find this answer anywhere on FB's privacy page.
Re: FB Privacy Question
my siblings put up albums from my wedding last year. I was tagged in a lot of photos (obviously) so they're under my photos, but only people who are friends with both me AND my sibling seem able to access the album or even see the photos under my name.
You should be able to view your profile as it would appear to any of your friends by typing in their name in your privacy settings. Then you could know for sure who sees what.
No, and it didn't work that way before the news feed either. At least, if there was a time that it did, I missed it.
When your mother posts it, she won't be given any indication that it isn't being shown to everyone, but it won't be. My own mother can't seem to wrap her head around this idea. "But I swear I posted it!" "I know, but I still can't see it." "I broke it!" "No you didn't?." etc.
It's the same for posting in groups, too. Even if YOU post a friends-only picture in one of your groups, group members who are not your friends cannot see it.
